    It can't be this difficult!

That outlet as configured is NOT protected by the GFCI and is not up to code. You need a Ground for the breaker to detect a Ground Fault. The proper way to hook up a 3-wire 240v outlet is Hot/Hot/Ground, which will typically be Black/Red/Green (or bare). The good news is you're probably going...

    Brew-Boss Opinions

Hmm, as of this morning the BF2018FREESHIP code for free shipping is working, but the BF2018FREEFASTFERMENTER code for the free fermenter still says its invalid.

This describes me, and is why I’m likely going with the 15 gallon. It was set, but then Spike went and announced a 25% sale on kettles next Monday, which makes the decision process that much harder. :)

I got confirmation from support that they would refund me late in the day on Wednesday 11/14. The money was back on my card on Saturday morning 11/17.

    How to ground Ebiab panel?

There's a module on your center rail that says "C65N" on it. Just to the right of that is an open ground terminal. I would pull a green wire from that to the post on the left hand inside of the box. Then another wire from that post to the post on the front cover. It certainly couldn't hurt...

    How to ground Ebiab panel?

I am certainly not a panel expert, but do know a fair bit about electricity. Looks like you just have to run ground wires from the post on the cover and the ground bus on the main panel (you've got openings on the top left and top right) to the post on the left hand side of the box.

Brew Bucket owners - What Mini Fridge are you using ?

Definitely picking up two, now that I just snagged a pair of 7 Gallon BrewBuckets for $338, thanks to eBay's 15% off everything sale. What's the best bet for heating these? I'm looking at maybe attaching seedling mats to the refrigerator walls, putting a carboy heater on the cone of the...

    Brew-Boss Opinions

That's an interesting option. It runs Android Go, which is a stripped-down version of Android designed to run faster on low-end smartphones. Assuming the hardware is up to par, I would think this would actually be a plus for BB use. Android Go comes with fewer built-in services than full...

You actually want that one, but without ads: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J6RPDWC/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    Brew-Boss Opinions

That's the way I'll probably go as well. Darin told me to make sure to get the version without ads (cost an extra $15 upfront, not sure how much after the fact), as the ads interrupt brewing. I don't think I'll get the stand as it automatically goes into "Echo Show" mode when docked (not sure...

Not terribly interested in the FastFerment either, since I'm looking to go with SS BrewBuckets in the Tramontina Beverage Center, but for free I guess it'll get me started. The $140 or so savings on shipping is definitely nice. Good to know that they don't do the stand anymore. That was one...

That's the one I was thinking of!

How Many Pounds of Coffee Roasted in 2018

7 lbs of Ethiopia Agaro Biftu Gudina Cooperative yesterday, bringing my total for the year to 111 lbs. I've been sick for the last few weeks and drinking a lot of tea, so that cut a full (half-gallon) pot per day out of our household consumption. Add that and updates from @NeilMac and @4of7...

    It can't be this difficult!

I would do the Auber Cube2. But if that's too much automation, I think there are simple rheostat dials for under $100, just can't find one right now for some reason.

    Designing kettle.

Fair enough. I hadn't noticed you in the thread previously, and I had posted the skateboard story, so I thought it was quite strange. All good though! In other news, my $2,584 refund is posted as of this morning. 6 days and counting!

Since I cancelled, I'm no longer getting the email updates, but looking on the marketing site, it definitely seems like they've taken our feedback to heart: https://us11.campaign-archive.com/?u=007d0e755e5300f5291fa2a6e&id=141b77e39e I have to give them credit, this is the highest-quality...

I'm still keeping my options open, but almost certainly going with Brew Boss. Now just waiting patiently to see what next week has in store for us. :)

I don't think this thread is a representative population. It would surprise me if they're seeing a sudden rash of cancellations, despite there being several here in the past week. For reference, I put my request in very very early Tuesday morning (Like 2am PicoBrew time :) ), and I got a...
