    The Home Made Pizza Thread

Ok, I need your help guys / gals! So I'm hosting a pizza get-together mid-late next month and I plan on making 2-3 pizzas, which is no big deal. However, one of my buddies wives is lactose intolerant & does not eat beef (again, the latter isn't that big of a deal). Does anyone have any good...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Had a little potluck bonfire at a co-workers saturday night with a growler & bottle share (El Lupulo Libre, Double Trouble, Speedway Stout). There were going to be hotdogs and chili soup, so I brought a cheesy chili dip, which doubled as an excellent topping for the dogs! One pound pork, some...

More of the same sauce, but this time 8 oz of black olives, sausage, green onions, homemade pickled jalepenos, and whole milk mozzarella. Brushed a bit of olive oil over the outer crust... that was a good choice!

What did I cook this weekend.....

Butter is so easy to make, yet it blows people's minds when I tell them I make my own! Just want to add that you only need to do a thorough squeezing and rinsing of the butter to drain out all of the buttermilk, and if you do that it will last weeks / months in the fridge. It freezes well...

What did I cook this weekend.....

I used to think I was a decent cook (I do make more than just pizza! But when I get on a kick, I tend to make the same thing over and over until I get sick of it), until I started reading this thread! You guys really are an inspiration to try and come up with something to one-up the previous...

What did I cook this weekend.....

My brain is so fried right now, and the only thing I wanted to do was have a beer after work at whole foods and buy toppings for pizza ... But the bar was "reserved," (wtf?)... The second thing I wanted to do was go home and keg my beer, but alas 4/4 routes to cross the river and get home were...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Last week made a jalepenos meatloaf (50% pork, 50% beef) stuffed with pepperoni, mushrooms and a half pound of whole milk mozzarella. On top is a caramelized red onion, and a honey-ketchup-dijon glaze. Well, made dough yesterday, stopped in at whole foods to pick up a pint and figure out...

    The Home Made Pizza Thread

Well, made dough yesterday, stopped in at whole foods to pick up a pint and figure out the toppings I wanted.. Grabbed a Deschutes fresh squeezed and proceeded to make bad life choices. Same ingredients on both, but the first is a can of san marzanos reduced down in a pot with fresh oregano...

    Two bad things about kegging

Umm... you need to make a ball of freshly shredded cheese, wrap it in bacon, cook it in the cast-iron skillet while you're toasting your bread (buttered on each side) in another skillet, then wrap the toast in bacon and toast it further. Once complete, place bacon cheese-ball onto bacon...

    What are you drinking now?

Stopped at my LHBS to get some ingredients for a mosaic pale ale that I'm going to keg and bring to a Halloween party in 4 weeks! Having a listermanns Galaxy Beagle IPA before I go home and do a starter.

Oh yeah! I saw this story, but I heard that once everyone got out of the building, they evacuated to the furthest place from any fire ever......

What did I cook this weekend.....

Bacon jalapeños meatloaf. Followed recipe verbatim, but doubled it in an 8" cast iron. Baked for 1 hour 15 minutes. Glaze is a perfect balance, could use a little cayenne to kick it up a notch. http://yes-moreplease.com/2014/05/jalapeno-bacon-meatloaf/
