Can you have too many bottles? I estimate to have 500 plus.

You could sell some on Craigslist to a fellow homebrewer on the cheap.

I'm with you man. I want to start kegging and still don't want to dispose of my bottles. I do joke it is an addiction. I have cases and 12's packs of bottles. Well over 400 myself. I also save the six pack carrying cases.... ;)

    Miller Lite home draft

Yeah, I didn't force carb mine, I used priming sugar and filled the TAD system from my bottling bucket. What I should have done is relieved some pressure along the way. The system was blown from the force of the natural carb'ing, not when I attached the CO2. Lesson learned, I got a Coors...

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

You know, if something malicious was on a banner, it could be on other web pages too... And if it was written in something universal, like a java script, that would run across platforms, i.e. Firefox, IE, Mac, Android, etc.

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

Another interesting article on what I mentioned about DNS poisoning above: http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20110210006567/en/Phishing-Tactic-Emerges-World%E2%80%99s-Largest-Payment-Processors

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

Not necessarily... Check this out. http://www.scrippsnews.com/node/59494 I'm guessing that AHS has a hosted web-site offsite somewhere, on a non-dedicated web server. If a banner ad had a malicious script on it, it could have loaded something into your computer easily. Not only do we...

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

All we need is another guy posting on this thread, but I'm curious what software you guys use for your anti-virus/anti-malware? Reason I ask is, as an IT Professional, I see people being infected with those fake anti-virus programs ALL the time, and Norton, Kaspersky, Symantec, Free AVG, etc...

    Miller Lite home draft

I used the Miller Lite tap a draft system with my Pumpkin Ale, but made a mistake... I used the normal amount of priming sugar in the TAD bottle and it blew the "spout" apart and blew all my beer out of it. Next time, I'll either A) relieve the pressure as it builds B) use less sugar to prime...

    All Grain equipment

Check out Sam's Club website for aluminum stock pots. They just changed the d@mn price by $10, but you can still get a 15 gallon stock pot for $66.00!!!

    American Amber Ale Mojave Red

Uh oh... I went to get my grain at the LHBS yesterday and they didn't have american 2 row! They had Maris Otter and an English 2 row. I opted for the English 2 row for my base malt. Hopefully this will still turn out to be a delicious beer!!! Does anyone see a problem with the English 2 row...

    American Amber Ale Mojave Red

Is Maris Otter an OK substitution for the American 2-row? Also, if I can't find Palisades hops, is the below substitution from USAHOPS.org correct to use Willamette hops? From USAhops.org: Palisade®, YCR 4 Alpha Acids 5.5-9.5% Beta Acids 6.0-8.0% Alpha-Beta Ratio 1 Cohumulone (% of alpha...

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

I also got 1.130 OG. I temperature corrected mine and it was 1.134, close enough. I've had this going for 9 days and the airlock is STILL bubbling once every 10 seconds, and I can see activity in it as well. This was my first mead, and first time using bread yeast to ferment a drink. I...

CO2 tank question (before I buy it)

Grinding an aluminum CO2 tank under that much pressure does make me slightly nervous. Yes, they are stamped with PEPSI COLA. Couldn't I just fill those with JB Weld, sand, and paint that too? And as someone posted before, that 25 lb tanks are rare, that it is probably only a 20 lb tank was...

    Kegs around the Lancaster/York Area?

Wish someone did, or at least a source to get them cheap. Mr. Steve's homebrew shop in East York has them, but they are $45. I'm not sure if they are new or used though... They are in-stock there...

CO2 tank question (before I buy it)

How long would a 5 lb tank last? Assuming 5 gallon batches/kegs at average carbonation levels and such.

CO2 tank question (before I buy it)

I have the option of buying two CO2 tanks my company is willing to sell to me from their now defunct cafeteria. These were "powering" the fountain drink machine. They are 25 lb CO2 aluminum containers with unknown (if any) CO2 contents and they want $50 a piece for them. One tank says it...
