    Does anyone really like IPA's?

    When I first started enjoying craft beer, I didn't care for the hoppy beers. It is an acquired taste for me. I started liking the stouts and porters first then came to appreciate the hops!

    First beer in fifteen years.

    Well, i finally did it! Work finally slowed down a bit, so I brewed a brown ale last week. It just went into secondary and it looks good. it seems kinda thin, but that's to be expected with just one can of extract and some sugar and hops. But it was still fun to brew again.

    Correct me if I am wrong. But shouldn't you boil all of the extract? If you add part of it late in the boil, the added portion won't go through the protein break and coagulate the proteins out of the wort. If I remember correctly, this helps prevent chill haze. I may be off base. But I don't...
