    Regulator check valve replacement

Does anyone know where you can find a gas check valve like this except in 1/4" MIP to 1/4" flare? I'm switching my Taprite dual regulator over to Duotight fittings and I'd like to not have to replace the shut off valves. So far my search has just turned up shutoff valves with built-in check...

    Homemade PBW Recipe

How do you remove the residue? I forgot about a batch of 50 bottles soaking in Kroger brand Oxy cleaner (Na carbonate and Na percarbonate) and they all have this white residue inside and out that I can't get off with dawn and Kroger oxy and insane amounts of scrubbing.

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

Finally got it to the point where it's a functional keezer. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I still need to build a couple more tap towers and organize the inside better.

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

Nice. I like the dryer vent hose idea in that thread. I decided that I didn't really like the swing top idea and went with what I was originally thinking. I've been working on my build for 2 weeks and was holding off posting until I have a nice series of pictures for a proper build thread...

Need black pipe tap tower advice

Hi all, I am building between at least one but as many as 3 "T" style 2 tap black pipe tap towers using 2" pipe for my new keezer and am looking for some advice that most/all of the threads, blogs, and posts don't cover. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone ranging from newly built to those who...

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

I saw that one as I was starting to plan. Not sure if I like the the tower in the side but it would address my problems. I'll probably build some cardboard prototypes and try it out vs making the split the long way.

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

Had not considered this option but I am having a hard time getting past the asthetics of the collar design.

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

I think I know the one you are talking about. There is a thread on here about the same build. I saw the BYO article first and that is what got me started with the split top idea. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/keezer-build-with-fixed-tower.621360/ I'm going to be using a bigger...

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

Thanks for the reply. I thought about tap locks but even then the accessible, low taps will become handles for them to hang on and things to tie ropes to, etc. I am definitely planning on building a new likeyyou described and will post a build thread.

    Keezer lid design ideas needed

So, I'd like to build a split top 9 cu ft keezer (45"wide) with a stainless or black pipe tap tower that is built into a cabinet with a bar top. I have a narrow space for the keezer and 3 small kids. As such, I am not thrilled about a collar design. I also won't be able to use the freezer's...

    Fruit/flavor addition ideas for perry?

I thought I would update this thread with my results. Overall, I am underwhelmed by my attempts and am going to try the yeast experiment again next year with different ale yeasts. I think I may be limited, though, because my fruit varieties are all dessert fruit and lack acidity & tannin...

    Fruit/flavor addition ideas for perry?

Thanks for the additional feedback and comments. I'll look into those concentrates for future reference. I think I might have even seen some of that company's products in my local grocery store. I'll be sure to taste everything before I go crazy with the flavors in case I am with the plain...

    Fruit/flavor addition ideas for perry?

I am actually considered adding some natural flavor extract for my ciders, both apple and pear. I haven't enjoyed commercial examplesof perries and my wife doesn't like to eat pears so I am doing some split batch flavor experiments. On top of that I also have 4 different yeasts fermenting...

    Fruit/flavor addition ideas for perry?

Thanks for the ideas. I'm thinking lemon blueberry, vanilla bean, and Citra dry hop. Depending on how the volume shakes out I might also try Mosaic or Amarillo hops, as I already those in the freezer.

I've had the same thoughts about a motor.

    Fruit/flavor addition ideas for perry?

I have about 10 gal of home pressed perry sitting in primary that are ready for transfer to secondary. My wife and I have not been impressed with the flavor of commercial perries and I'm looking to improve on that experience. Does anyone have successful suggestions for fruit/flavor...

Apple season is coming!!! Q's about presses

I don't know about the bladder press, but it looks potentially better than my ratchet screw type press. I do own the 7L EJWOX grinder http://www.ejwox.com/product/1144/ and have been very happy with it. It fits well over a 5 gal bucket but has a tendency to slide around. Buildings some sort...

    Multi-Cider-Recipe Test Batch

I have no input, but just wanted to thank you both for posting this well organized question and response. I am having a similar debate with myself about doing different flavor experiments with roughly 10 gallons each of home pressed perry and cider. Banana sounds interesting! Hope it goes...

Pressed peaches & Campden tablet whoops?

About a month ago I pressed the last of my peaches and got about a half gallon of juice. I dosed it with one crushed Campden tablet, put an air lock on, and intended to freeze it after 24hrs so I could ferment it with some pressed cider once my apples were ready. Well, life happened and I...
