    Another Bar build

I got the wine rack from my LHBS, it was just a pine rack and I stained it dark walnut. Here is the link if it ever gets available again http://ebrew.com/product3899.html Also if you ever do get one I highly recommend gluing all the joints, it is very weak if you do not

    Another Bar build

So haven't updated in a while, things have been really crazy. Got married changed jobs a few times. Life hit the fast lane. I got a few pictures of the progress. I got my floor in and got some furniture. It's a little crowded but it has to double as my office. The large black cabinet opens up...

Built a counter flow chiller, a little differently.

So I built a counter flow chiller, one issue I have always had with the normal way is the refrigeration coil is so thin I know I would break it before to long. I instead used a reducer like normal but soldered it on the inside line as well as on the outside to the outer coil to support it. I...

Did I score at the habitat re-store?

Found these foldback 4500watt 240v elements for $5 a pop at the re-store. Any reason these won't work for a HLT? Thanks.

    Help!!!!!!!!

Which threads are in your kettle Pipe or Compression. Pipe threads are tapered and compression are strait. They will not interchange. There was a really good article I think on here that I read that showed the difference. I tried to find it and couldn't

    Corny Keg Lid

I think most of the pressure comes from the co2 pressure inside the keg, I know when I put my lid on I actually center it without even locking it down and hit it with 20 or so psi to seat the gasket. once I have done that its hard as heck to get the lid back off. When I use gelatin to clear I...

Finally got an update. Got paint done which took forever, also got my taps done. I figured out a really cool idea. I found out that Lowes sells half barrel whiskey barrels to be used as planters for 30 bucks. I bought one and sawed off the bottom and mounted my taps to that. I am going to use an...

    Another Bar build

Well a little update, one I am ashamed to admit to, I have 2 dewalt drills, one I generally keep as a driver and one for drilling, the one i use as a screwdriver decided the chuck needed to break so I went to grab my other one and couldn't find it. Finally after hours of searching my gut feeling...

    Another Bar build

there is no drain that I could tap into anywhere near that room so I had to make due, I had a plan to put a drain in, I think its called a sink drain, basically just a water only drain that leads out into the yard but I decided against it just because of the extra work (and cost) involved

BEST RECIPE TO KEG and DRINKING IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS?

honestly I used dry notty in all my beers like this, because its a dry yeast, as long as its fresh, it has a huge cell count so no need for a started and it gets to work right away, and finishes fast. great when you want to turn one around real quick
