    Help with Pumpkin ale tap handle

    Can you fill it with epoxy, then stick a dowel rod into the wet epoxy, then drill and tap the dowel? Or cover the back side of the insert with duct tape and set it in the epoxy directly?

    Air Lock question

    I'd bottle it and see what happens, it's probably fine. There's a layer of CO2 on top of the beer as it's sitting in the fermenter, so unless you're seeing something that's obviously wrong, bottle it and see.

    For alkalinity, you can call your water utility (or treatment plant) and ask what the value is. Our plants run alkalinity on the raw and finished water every 6 hours.
