This post got me thinking, and my question is along the same lines, could I take the yeast that settles at the bottom of my beer/wort after it is done fermenting from my prim/secondary and fill a few bottles with the beer/yeast mixture (as there is usualy some beer left at the bottom along with...

    perfect

It gets better every day, there is a haze but only slight and it seems to be clearing with age. the color is almost orange, hard to describe. I would have used a different yeast but my local brew shop only carries coopers dry yeast but they get a special type, because it is definately different...

    That home brew tang

ora8i ive tried a couple different "coopers" kits and they are pretty good but I know exactly what you mean, (mabye thats the way coopers taste in australia though?) but there is no comparison (from my experience) to an extract/ grain recipe from scratch. Batches where I use good ingredience...

    Adding Malt Extract after boil

I am no expert but after reading about adding the malt late increases IBU's for 2-4 gallon boils, in my last batch I added malt with only 15-20 mins left in boil. The beer is in bottles right now conditioning so I cant say exactly if I achieved higher bitterness, but my brew was lighter than...

    delicious porter

I have always been a beer drinker who likes a variaty of different styles of beer, that is one of the reasons why I wanted to brew my own. My first recipe from scratch (non kit) turned out wonderful. I love porter and black licorice, so I decided to try to make licorice porter. Pretty standard...
