    Water line to garage, cheap

I'm not sure of your configuration, but it sounds like your laundry room and garage share a wall. You might check with your local codes. That wall may need to be a firebreak where you can't be punching holes in it.

No more RO water, what to use now

heh.. I just responded to another RO thread. All of these headaches can be solved with a simple tankless RO system for about $125 Even if available, store RO varies widely in TDS. Contact Russ at Buckeye Hydro (see post #3) Geeeze… I'm starting to sound like a paid spokesperson. Just a satisfied...

    Reverse Osmosis System Recommendation Please

You and I are alike in our RO water needs... Beer and Coffee :) As others have mentioned, contact Russ at Buckeye Hydro and he can walk you through your options. For what I need, an in house system and a holding tank just didn't make sense for me. In my opinion, GPH is not a huge factor if you...

    Reverse Osmosis System Recommendation Please

Russ also helped me plan a feed to my brew kettle with a simple float valve attached to a cross bar that sits ontop my HLT. I turn the system on the night before and I've got 20 gallons for tomorrows brew day with no need to monitor it.

    Cats

Our cat has been very upset with us lately. We have invaded her territory due to isolation. There are many "jokes / memes" floating around the web on this, but it's quite real. She's not used to us milling about the house all day, and goes upstairs and howls, then runs around chasing something...

First Time Using 100% RO water on Bru'n Water

Bicarbonate is not a targeted goal; it is an indicator in the spreadsheet. For your recipe you will need calcium chloride, gypsum, perhaps a bit of Epsom (optional but I like the effect in IPA's) and lactic in the mash.

    Reverse Osmosis System Recommendation Please

I have my 5 gallon water jugs from when I used to buy it. I keep two filled from my buckeye hydro to keep on hand for coffee, drinking, etc. Then transfer to a 2.5 gallon spigot dispenser I keep in the fridge.

RO water not exactly at 0 ppm

    Must pour like cottage cheese...….

RO water not exactly at 0 ppm

As others have pointed out, 0 ppm is not a goal. With any RO system anything below 20 is satisfactory. You should not be looking for distilled numbers. Anything under 20 is considered good. My buckeye hydro system takes 380 ppm down to 5-7.

Anyone put themselves into "self isolation"?

You've got your own place! That's perfect. I'd be on my way in a minute. Great way to ride this out. Sounds great!

Anyone put themselves into "self isolation"?

We snowbird every winter in a motorhome. When the virus issue hit, we hightailed it back home due to uncertainty with lockdowns and travel restrictions. Goodluck with the escape. Private campgrounds and most state and federal campgrounds are now closed.

Anyone put themselves into "self isolation"?

Good news Bruce! I'm not embarrassed to say, if I got sick right now (corona or not) I would be scared sh!tless…….

    What are you drinking now?

I'm drinking my first attempt at a hard cider. Fantastic, extremely dry, thanks to @RPh_Guy and the cider forum.

Anyone put themselves into "self isolation"?

My wife and I are both over 60. We're not going anywhere and having groceries delivered. Watching "Justified" and playing cribbage. If there's anything positive in this mess, it's that we're slowing down and enjoying what's important.

Are you sure that's you? Sure as hell looks like me.

    Is this normal?

My response was intended to be funny, but appeared snarky. I apologize. A somewhat common procedure of many folks, is to spray sanitizer on a surface, then wipe the surface with a sponge. Sponges are ridden with bacteria and are counterproductive to the sanitation process. At any rate, you are...

Free book on German and Austrian beers

Just downloaded to my kindle. Thank you for posting! I gravitate toward german beers. This will be a great read. For those without a kindle, there is a simple kindle reader you can download to your PC or phone. It's really not a big deal.

How many people lost their keezer to covid?

@danielthemaniel I actually saw a woman berating a grocery clerk for not having toilet paper. He tried to explain the shelves are stocked in the morning and is gone within 30 minutes. She continued yelling at him. You have a tough job. Hang in there my friend.
