    I might as well pile on. I brewed two 34/70 batches. I was ok with it, but I prefer S-189 and Diamond. But I've read lots of posts from brewers that really like 34/70.

    I'm wondering if you got low extract efficiency. That could make it taste bland. What was the OG?

    Chlorinated TSP - Cleaner/Sanitizer

    It seems like it would need to be rinsed to remove the chlorine, and chlorine is really difficult to remove from plastic. I didn't see anything in the description about whether it needs to be rinsed.

    I've found that the kettle it is boiled in makes a difference. I always took the kettle of boiling water off the heat when adding the LME. Then stir well while adding it, and continue stirring until completely dissolved. Then put it back on the heat. When I used a somewhat thin-walled stainless...

    I had an infection last year, too - so my total was also a little low. May we all be infection-free for many years.
