    Who uses English hops?

fwiw, when I was really into european character years ago I used Hallertauer Mittelfrüher, Saaz, and Tetnang, plus some "noble adjacent" hops like English EKG and other Hallertauer strains like Hersbrucker and Tradition, plus home-grown Fuggles for seven years. Been awhile since I got that...

    Advanced extract brewing

fwiw, I got an alleged BJCP Master and his wife fairly well soused on the dry extract brews I was making around 2004. I had six on tap, they loved five of them (thought the "Porter" was too strong - it was actually a Stout, but that's ok) and were convinced they were all-grain brews... Cheers!

    Mash recirculation

I had never seen that Blichmann device before. Looks like it should work just like a ball-valved WP arm 🤷‍♂️ Cheers!

    Tubing lengths

fwiw, to reach from all four corners of my 14cf keezer up to the faucet shanks in my center-mounted t-tower, I went with 6.5 foot lengths of the 4mm ID line for the runs that are for my 2.4~2.5 volume beers (which is most of them) charged at 11 psi, and a 9 foot run for my 3 volume wheat beers...

    Who uses English hops?

I dunno, when you start poking around those lists it's more head scratching than illuminating, imo. Though I do agree with one point: “Sabro. I would posit that this hop, while being unique and having the possibility of awesome coconut character, has a razor-thin line between making a beer...

What I did for beer today

Knocked out the second brew of my two day back-to-back efforts. Hit volume to the fermentors and OG dead nuts again, happy for the drama-free brews two days in a row :) Yesterday's batch was rockin' when I woke up this AM, I expect as much from the 2nd batch. Now I get to chill for a few...

Extended the shelf life of IPA

fwiw, I started injecting 1 teaspoon of AA mixed in 30 ml of water into my purged and filled kegs almost a year ago and have been enjoying kegs as old as 5 months that are still original color and delicious. Would not brew without it now... Cheers!
