    Wyeast 1272 American Ale II

I love 1272 and use it a lot. I get a very active ferment with it every time, and usually my temp range is around the 68 degree area. Wyeast states 60-72 degrees, so you are fine. And like KnipKnup said, your 64-66 range probably slowed it some. I always let 1272 go until the krausen falls, then...

I couldnt agree more! I love the stuff, and to me it has to be one, if not the best sanitizer on the market.

    Anyone else love redhook ESB?

I recently bought a Red Hook 12 pack with 4 different beers. The first was a Blonde Ale, which was my least favorite of the lot. Not really anything special, rather bland, even for a blonde ale. The second was their WinterHook. This one was very tasty, excellent flavor, and aroma. Nice for a...

She said she walked into the bedroom, and usually enjoys the scent of my cologne lingerig in the air...

In my opinion, if you engraved your brewery name or something else, and polished yours, they would be just as good. Excellent job!

    SNPA metallic flavor

Peronally, I think it has to do with their caps. I drank some Red Hook IPA the other night, and tasted metallic cap immediately.

    Cheap Drip Tray

Just to let you know, some of the actual British bar drip trays look just like that, except they are inscribed on top with the bar name, and are either gold, brass or brushed finished, and are quite the show pieces. Here is a kind of bad reprentation( as I cant find the actual URL, but is...

    shirron plate chiller users

Yup, depends on your location and ground water. Personally, I gravity feed mine, with the water open all the way and have never needed to worry about anything. Of course I get some nice cold water all year long. Erbium has a good idea though!
