    Estery again???

    Those stick on thermometers don't give an accurate fermentation temp. I had the same problem with my first few batches, now I keep the fermentation temp in the low range and no more off flavors just great beer.

    You should keep fermentation in the low range for the yeast. WLP 013 needs 66F to 71F, higher temperatures will produce esters. Fermentation temp is usually 5 to 10 degrees over room temp as it produces heat.

    I put mine in a old tv armoir cabinet, when the doors are closed nothing to be seen. My SWMBO did not like the look of a keezer and our house is small it had to go in the living room.

    I used glue sticks and they worked great, easy to clean off the bottle but they stay on till you want to remove them. With a color laser printer the ink does not run.

    Yes, I am using a 120 volt 80mm fan to move the cool air to the tower. I used 5 inch straight shanks, if i did it again I would use 3 inch or elbow shanks.
