    Buffalo Recipe

Same as above but put a drop of a hotter sauce in with it. I like Blair's sauces, but be warned, some of them are HOT

What are you listening to (music!!!) right now? Embarrassing or not... share

Been listening to a lot of Murder By Death lately. From the name you might assume they are a metal band, but the best way I can describe them is "old-timey cowboy country meets indie rock with young Johnny Cash on vocals." Pretty f-ing amazing

    Rye ale?

Northern has a rye malt extract and there are a few RIPA extract kits around, just looking for another recipe

    Anyone heard of customstickermakers.com?

Don't know anything about them, but if you're looking for vinyl stickers you could also check out stickerguy.com I used to use them for band stickers. They're pretty cheap and do a really good job. They might have a min order but iirc you're looking at like 100 for $15 if you do black and white

    Rye ale?

Anyone got a rye ale kit or recipe that they like? Don't really want to do a RIPA. Maybe a red rye? I'm only set up for extract right now.

Turn this hobby into a career!

Don't know about a degree (although it would be cool to have), but it would be cool if some local schools had this and I could just take the classes for fun. Like the sensory development or whatever it was called. I drink a lot of different beers, but I don't always describe them accurately

    What to brew next???

Cool. I'm not really a fan of shock top. Might check out the pale ale

    I caved in...

I just always see a lot of posts that recommend leaving it in the bottle without touching it for 3 weeks. The sarcastic quotes are for people that are super serious and super against tasting before 3 weeks. What happened to the "relax" part of homebrewing?

    I caved in...

Exactly! Makes you look forward to the magic "3 week mark" that much more

    I caved in...

There's no corruption. It's ok for you to blame me for tasting one. I will not, however, be blamed for the second. I tasted one but had other beer ready to quench my thirst :mug:

Give me a reason to not taste my beer yet!

My original post wasn't exactly a serious post. I was totally planning on tasting a few along the way to begin with. I'm smart enough not to pass judgement so quick or be disappointed. I just like to see how the beer changes. I was more just expressing excitement over the fact that it was...

    I caved in...

I caved also tonight although mines only been in the bottle for 6 days. I've got a thread on here somewhere where I asked people to convince me not to drink one. I was really just joking in that post. I always taste a couple over the first weeks. Hell I taste the wort before hopping, before...

Give me a reason to not taste my beer yet!

Funny. I've started a war here...

    What are you drinking now?

    Sam Adams ruthless rye

    But thanks for the responses!

    What to brew next???

Hmmm... Maybe not a bad idea. I might try it. My knowledge of saisons is similar to someone trying an IPA and deciding they don't like any of them. Maybe they just haven't had a good one. Since I mentioned IPAs, I've kinda enjoyed RIPAs lately. But since I'm not really looking to do an IPA...

Give me a reason to not taste my beer yet!

For clarification, I do need "support" but I totally plan on tasting it throughout the conditioning. I just don't want to drink the whole batch within a week of bottling (kegging in the past). I was just making conversation after having a few beers. It seems that this thread has taken on a...

    What to brew next???

Never really been a fan of saisons. Then again I haven't had that many. Not against it. What does it compare to?

Give me a reason to not taste my beer yet!

I will be tasting periodically, for that very reason @hackwood - I understand that but I am willing to sacrifice a couple for science. It's for science!!!

    What to brew next???

I have a Scottish light in bottles and a cream ale fermenting. What should I brew next? I'm not really feeling an IPA. What are some good late spring early summer beers? I currently only do extracts. If you could guide me to specific kits/recipes that you like that would be great. Would really...
