    Are you going to mount casters? Interested to see what you do if so. I pick up a welding gun for the first time ever tomorrow. Took the week off and hope to a) learn how to weld and b) finish as much as I can. Local metal shop where I bought the material is also doing all my cutting ($10!)...

    What did you use for a welding table? I see you have the sawhorse on the one shot...was that adequate? No problems with melting? Between that and trying to figure out how to keep it square and level I'm flaking out on building my own.

    Sorry, missed that before. Any rough estimate on the weight? This is pretty much what I want to build but don't have the garage real estate to store it horizontally. Would you consider it possible if not practical to store vertically?

    I've made 2.5 batches (partial mash on the third) with sorghum and I'm just not super impressed with the results. There's that iron-y, metallic taste to it. Of course, that was with 100% sorghum and nothing else. The batch with the partial mash is bottle aging now so maybe that will change...

    As I was pasteurizing my first bottle today it occurred to me what might be a good way to do batches safely and with excellent temperature results. Could you not place all your bottles in an insulated chest cooler and add the hot water to that? I would think there would be several advantages...
