We saw that contraption at the AB-Inbev convention back in October in New Orleans. It actually worked good but the cost of the equipment and the cups would turn off a lot of retailers. They had several units around the convention center and they always drew a crowd.

FWIW, I kegged a brown ale Saturday about 1:00 pm at 30 psi and tried one today at about 5:00 pm after dropping the pressure to 12 psi and it had a nice creamy head and decent carbonation and actually tasted pretty good. Hoping it will be better by Christmas.

It takes a special flat washer. The inside of the faucet is grooved for this washer and I doubt you can find anything else that would work as well.

Yeah, they are outrages. I have bought a few cans of lme but that is about it. I'm in the beer business so I get all my chemicals and draft equipment cheap (free).

48 seems to be my average. I probably leave too much in the fementer and bucket to keep out the sludge if that makes any sense. Also my wand dribbles a little, but hey, I'm getting up in years. :mug:

I just generally follow the instructions when using a kit.

I rinse my bottles after I drink them. When I bottle another batch I rinse them out with BTF. Put them on the the dishwasher rack and let them drain. Fill em up and cap them. No problems yet. I get all the bottles and chemicals I need from work, (AB wholesaler):mug:

Is it unusual for fermenting to begin after a couple of hours?. My red ale is already going crazy. Went into the primary at 4:00pm and it is bublin at 6:00pm. :drunk:
