    Ffarg- Apple Ale

I'm 39 minutes into my boil as I type this!

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Yep, this is potentially dangerous stuff! :drunk:

    Bottling Tips for the Homebrewer

Completely? No. It's better than nothing, but without filtering, there'll be something. Of course, I'd love to have someone demonstrate otherwise!

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

It's just one of those things where you go with your gut and your palate. Since it's not a clone of anything, nobody is going to say "man, this is hoppier than I expected it to be". Keg it, carb it, and taste it. Taste good? Then it's ready to go. Too green? Then start with some hoppy beer...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

I wouldn't worry about it. I made a batch with an ounce of Cascade in October and sucked it down just as soon after bottling it as my other batches.

    Homebrewtalk Carboy Cleaner Giveaway

I need a real Carboy Cleaner because the coat-hanger & sweatsock version I made just sucks.

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

I think I will! I have a dedicated cider bucket with a nearly-ready-to-bottle batch of Graff in it now, and your recipe is next!

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Interesting... what's the ballpark ABV? How would you compare the two, taste-wise?

    Homebrewtalk Carboy Cleaner Giveaway

I'd like to win one because I just got a $40 ticket rushing home to get in before the 4pm deadline. :p

    Homebrewtalk Carboy Cleaner Giveaway

I'd like one of these doodads because I hate hate hate cleaning my carboy with a brush.

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

You took an OG measurement of a gallon of wort containing just the Crystal and LME? You're right, it should have included the juice. No big deal... just let it sit for the full two weeks before mucking with readings, then check every day for a few days to make sure it's not falling any...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

I don't claim to have all the answers, but I do have some questions to help us help you - What don't you like about it, specifically, beyond "tart and tangy"? Can you describe what it tastes like a little more? Did you follow Brandon's recipe, or make modifications? How much of what...

How many gallons of Brandon O's Graff have been made?

    My last batch: 2136 + 5 = 2141 Today's batch: 2141 + 5 = 2146

    Show us your Kegerator

*facepalm* You'd think it was my first day on the intertubes.

    Show us your Kegerator

That's really quite lovely. How do you deal with your drip tray, if I may ask? I'm losing track here... did you document your build in another thread?

What beer do you still buy?

Were you able to get your hands on their very limited release, "Lunch"? Freaking awesome. I want to clone that and/or get hired by them so I can steal the recipe. ;)

What beer do you still buy?

I'm with you on Shipyard... I probably buy more of their beer now (I'm a sucker for their IPA and Old Thumper) that I'm brewing than I did before I started. Same for Sebago. Baxter, though - I want to like it, but I'm not seeing what all the fuss is about. Not that it's not good, it's...

    5 Day Sweet Country Cider

As mentioned, keep an eye on it. If it does freeze pretty solid, you can drain off the nonfrozen portion and claim you intentionally made apple jack :D

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Yep, especially if you're using a lager yeast.
