    What beer kicked your a$$ lately?

    Local micro's Sooper Yooper IPA from Soo Brewing Co. Took out a growler at poker night and it took me out when I tried to get up from the table. Talked to the brewer the next week and he informed me that it was 7%. That explained a lot!

    Founders Oatmeal Chocolate/coffee stout..

    Tried it. Two months in bottle before it mellowed out. More chocolate hints when it comes up to cellar temp from fridge temp. Much better at cellar temp.

    Kids and Brewing...

    Until its fermenting, it's just cooking in my opinion. Measuring cups, teaspoons and a dash of this and a pinch of that. My 7 yo loves to help stir the pot while I add ingredients. It does sound a little bad when she is spilling to her teacher or day care lady.
