    Tilt Pi for Tilt Hydrometer

Your router should support IP address reservations. You specify the MAC address (hardware address) and the IP you want it to have. (It's usually a good idea to reuse the address it currently has to avoid conflicts.)

SHOW OFF: Basement Brewery cleaning sinks

I was too for a long time. Then I decided the sink wouldn't make better beer. Hence the concrete one. (Of course I put a $130 sprayer on it, so...)

SHOW OFF: Basement Brewery cleaning sinks

These user concrete sinks are prevalent in the northest. Mine cost $30. I added a Corian backsplash mounted to the sink and the commercial sprayer. Sink is below sewer level so there's a Liberty Pump 404 enclosed sump below the sink. Drain pipe is on left. (power was temporary in this picture)...

    Maximizing Efficiency when Batch Sparging

I've read most of this and am trying to get my efficiency up to a decent range. Beersmith has been reporting my efficiency in the low 60s for a couple years (per Beersmith. (I have my mill gap at minimum, Denny). Today I tried using Braukaiser's efficiency worksheet and got some encouraging...

The Great Gravity Showdown - Hydrometer vs. Digital Hydrometer vs. Refractometer vs...

Nice test here. The one thing you didn't mention was whether you calibrated any of the devices first. It's important that we regularly calibrate everything we measure with. Even if it's only "subtract .002 from all readings"

1.1.1.1 is good too with the added benefit of it not routing through google for inspection :-)

    Where can I find Scott's Janish's info?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I didn't notice Brad's eating, but you would think after 189 shows he would have learned how to interview. He leaves valuable information from the guest just hanging while moving onto the next question. It's like he isn't listening sometime. Brad I love you, but...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

IMO, Stan's value is in talking about other's work. He has an audience and studies the topic. And I had no idea who those two mentioned were.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

BeerSmith Podcast #189 with Stan Hieronymus has some good info on the style. Including the purpose of the haze

    Using corn meal

I forgot to add that I'm using my homegrown hops from last year. This should be interesting

    Using corn meal

Yeah. Maybe I'll cut it back to 1.5lbs. Problem is the brewer wants to take it back to the miller. So maybe I live with the flavor.

    Using corn meal

Local brewer gave the club 25 lbs of fresh ground, local heirloom corn (enough buzz words in there?) I'm brewing a Pale ale this weekend and want to use the meal to add some alcohol and maybe a hint of flavor. I'm looking at adding 2.5 lbs to the mash. Two questions I have are 1) Do I need to...

Can you share details on how you made the jackets?

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

I don't whirlpool at the high a temp as in my experience it extracts too much bitterness and evaporates too much of the aroma compounds. Depending on what you're going a whirlpool around 160 might be worth trying. (and I know there's a lot of debate about this so, YMMV). to sanitize you could...

Now that is unique and solves much of the "it's too cold outside to brew" issues. Welcome to posting!

    Party Tap growler filler tube?

    Great tip. Thanks!

    Party Tap growler filler tube?

Is there a filler tube available that will slip into or over the nozzle on a party tap? I have two beers on tap but only one faucet at the moment.
