    Wort chiller 101

Having both read and discussed with the fellas at LHBS about all the upside of a wort chiller, I was all set to get copper tubing and parts at my local hardware store when at the last minute I decide to reference The Complete Joy of Home Brewing for suggestions on length of tubing. It is then...

    How did you get hooked?

I knew about HB from a former co-worker, and thought the idea was pretty cool, but never pursued it as a hobby. In fact, I was happy drinking some Lager and Pilsner imports and microbrews until we vacationed in London this past summer. It was there I discovered the many fine Bitters, Ales, Pale...

taste test passed with flying colors

My wife and I returned from the happy holidays at her folks place last night and we went out for dinner to our local brewery/restaurant (BJs). While enjoying BJs take on an Irish Red and slice of our Chicago style pizza, I told her that I'd like to sample my first home brew when we went home...

    Hello from Milwaukee

well met! I knew a gal in the USAF who once told me: You can tell a person is from Wisconsin as soon as you meet them by one (or) of two ways - by their cheese breath or beer farts!

Help! Need a mini fridge for primary/secondary temp control

I'm off to Sam's now! Will post my results (if not Sam's, then what I do get eventually) here. I like the idea of a 2 carboy set-up. It seems that it will fit quite snugly in a corner of my home office/game room/brew room.
