A case against kegging - Bottling is better

I'm a late to the party and it's all been said. I keg but make cask condition ale in mine. I would never try to put any one off kegging. It make life so much easier. The only think CAMRA would object to is using CO2 to serve because I can't drink 5g in 3 days. KISS.

You should of got her to ask why. I won't drink cold cask ale. I have known people to microwave a beer for 30 seconds to get it from 2° to 13°C

    Brrr, looks cold

Because we don't normally get it the Government and companies have decided not to pay for the kit to cope with it. I'd hate to see what happens if we get stuff like you that lasts more than a week or so. Yes I have about 50 pint of HB left.

Taste it. You'll know if it's got to much tannin. If it's over the top look at PVPP (polycar/E1202).

    Brrr, looks cold

We normally get a couple of inches every few years. last time we got more than 4" in a session was early 80s. Norm min temp is around -5°C. This Country is not set for snow so 2" and -5 can close the country down. This was so bad the Government took over the salt mines and rationed grit. No...

I need a real Irishman for a real Irish insult.

Free Stater (British sympathiser) Bid móin 7 mothar a feranna-som co bráth. (May your land be bog and covered in thickets) Gura féis ic faelaib do chorp! May your body be a feast for wolves! Fognad dúib ág is ernbas! (Go die a painful death) Goirde shaogail duit abhus 7 ifrenn thall! (Die...

    Better than Guinness Stout.

I still like the Beamish over mine.

    Better than Guinness Stout.

Just a little more to it body wise, slightly less sour and a touch more roast. It's subtle and easy drinking. Still one for the Guinness drinkers. Not to big and heavy.

    Old Speckled Hen.

There are all sorts of reasons you'll never get a Guinness like you have had in Ireland. One is that it lacks the Craik. For other reasons read here for some starters
