Propane to all out electric build

Unlike beer Fest in Cola, Brewvival purchases the beer from the breweries. They don't require it to be donated like the beer Fest in Columbia. Last year, breweries went dry after 2-3 hours in Columbia. Go to the 12-4 if you have a choice. Less crowded and more beer. Brewvival adds great food...

Propane to all out electric build

As requested a close up of the RIMs tube element end from Brewers Hardware. Element done for the boil kettle. 5500w using slip cover and potting in JB weld. Super easy and quick. Great idea for safety.

New to brewing, and starting with all electric build...

If you have the elements, ditch the inductive cooktops. Sell them on eBay and put the money toward your pots. I use a 2500w in the rims and a 5500w in the boil kettle. Common practice and easy to control. I also use a RIMs setup with a BCS for control. Beside this forum...

    BCS 460 and RIMS programming

ChuckO, Great thanks! Even though my element was switching on and off, I still thought it may be too high for the wort. Can you briefly explain how you sparge? I was considering doing full mash with all the water needed to boil and no sparge. Basically getting the efficiency I need from...

minimum boil size in a E-Keggle?

I have their RIMS tube with that and yes, "super cool". Someone needs to make a weldless setup to give you a triclover connection. Especially if it was from Bargain Fittings!

    BCS 460 and RIMS programming

Yes, thats the part I'm trying to figure out. It seems like I could just use PID settings in the control and let it ramp up the mash water @ 100% to the set temp and then pause for dough in and resume at set temp with timer for mash. I am just worried about the cycle when holding the mash as to...

minimum boil size in a E-Keggle?

I was talking electrical connections. I found "the POL" thread where he explains this method. Rivenin On the 1/2 barrel keggles I have seen, 5 gallons is going to be a minimum. When the boil is rolling you want the element below the surface. One idea is get a 1/4 barrel 7.75 gallon keg...

I have my system 90% done and have been testing certain functions. One part I dont understand is cycle during RIMS mash. This is what I have. BCS controls elements and pumps. RIMS tube with a 2500w 240v ULD element Probe on the end of RIMS tub for reading RIMS state temp Programming...

In the summer yes. Just not that hot. Those probes are disconnected. Here is my finished graphic for the HMI on BCS. Still learning the javascript to change the img with processes so I can add hoses and only show what items are active. Also, add the widgets from BCS. Process #1...
