    Kegs not sealing

I definitely say use some sort of food grade lube to help. Make sure all your seals are not flattened. On mine I had air escaping around the edge of the lid. What I did was crank up the pressure and sprayed some Starsan on the top so it would bubble where the leak was and you will know when...

Should I paint this on my keezer?

Well here is the reason for the chalkboard. I am putting this downstairs just inside from our patio. I have 2 girls, 1 and 3, that play inside with friends sometimes as the adults are on the patio. This way they can draw all over it for fun and I can write the name of the beer on top. I...

Should I paint this on my keezer?

I have a Haier 5 cu ft. freezer (basically same as the one Lowe's sells-Holiday)which I am painting with chalkboard paint. It is all white and has white handles on the side of the lid and the white plastic section that seals the gasket. Do you think I should sand and paint these sections as...

    Beer Recipe Software

Also lets remember we need to support those who support our passion for making beer. Spend the little money and buy the program you desire. I use Beersmith and love it. Don't get me wrong. We all download some things but I buy when I want to support the artist, company, etc.

Difference in 425SS and 525SS perlick faucets????

I had the 425s and sold the kegerator. I am now building a keezer and had the 525s before I had the tower. I won't pour beer any other way. I NEVER had a sticky tap issue.

Are there any mods for the Bayou Classic SP10 burner to accomodate a keggle?

I had the SQ-14 and it was good but took a while to heat things up. I use a SP10 now with a grate on top and that thing cranks out some heat. I do wish it were in the SQ-14 frame though.

Maximum time to leave beer in primary fermenter...

I just got back into brewing after having two kids and anything that can save me time is an option. I have opted to do longer primaries with little or no secondaries. I have a Bell's Two Hearted clone in for about 3 weeks so far and it is tasting wonderful. I will probably transfer to keg in...

Primary Fermenting in a Corny Keg

Ok, you guys have got my interest peaked. I just started using Fermcap and love it. Now the only logical step is to ferment in my corny. I am going to be brewing a Hefe soon, so if that doesn't put this theory to the test I don't know what will. I am willing to make a mess, so I am going to...

Let's talk about Foam Control drops (aka Fermcap)

I wish I could change my vote. Now that I have used Fermcap S, that stuff is like magic. I first used it in my starter, 2000ml flask with about 2200ml in it after DME. Not one boilover. I also used a few drops in the kettle. Now I boil a 6 gallon boil in a keggle so boilover is not really...

    DIY temp controller build

If I plan on using a window ac unti can I just wire this in place of the units original controls. I assume I would not need a relay since it would essentially be functioning as an ac in your house. Does anyone know if the window unit also uses the same voltage as a house system would?

    Pick My Fermentation Chamber Design

Ok, I am beating my head against a wall trying to decide which option to choose. I want a ferm chamber to hold 4 batches. I have 3 options available with equipment I already have. 1. Tap into adjacent fridge and use blower to cool chamber -don't really want to cut holes in fridge...

    New fermentation chamber build

Just saw the plans for the worktable. That thing is great. I am going to size it for my garage. Living in a townhouse is hard when you have woodworking tools and nowhere to use them. Thanks for the link.

    Johnson controller install Question

What if I were able to use a Love controller to override the fridge thermostat and vent. I assume then I would be able to run the freezer full force and control the fridge as needed.
