    Bottling question

    i just bottled my first brew , i noticed alot of swirling of some substance in my bottles. i used the corn sugar for carbonation . Also i tasted my brew (obviously not done yet) but it seem to taste really watery and then BAM flavor galore , are these 2 things normal?

    it was a nice store (small and tucked away in a strip mall type area) there was only two guys in the store and both seemed very knowledgeable ! The prices were no different then online ordering minus the shipping charges.

    what is this copper device at the bottom of the cooler? I have seen it alot and thought it was a wort cooler but noticed there was not outlet.

    1st brew ever

    no actually i didn't even realize that was a 5 gallon till i looked at my inventory list. The Recipe seemed to only call for a total of 5 gallons of water , so it looks like i have 4.5 in the carboy. can i Add water during 2nd fermentation or is that a no no ?

    Im new to the brew game , I don't even have a set up yet but just like anything I do , I plan on getting a wealth of knowledge before i purchase anything! Any help directing me to the forums with basic rundowns and beginner setups will be great! thanks in advance .:mug:
