    I went to my LHBS this morning to look for a 5 gallon brew pot. To my surprise I was told they didn't have any. Anyone in the Ithaca NY area they their supplies locally? I would love to buy local if possible but will use one of the online sites mentioned by many of you if I need to.

    Yes it does have a spigot on it so I'm assuming it is meant as a bottling bucket. You would use the glass carboy as the main fermenter and then transfer to the bottling bucket after a few weeks?

    My kit comes with a 7.8 gallon bucket and 6 gallon glass carboy. Do I start my beer in the bucket and then transfer to the carboy? Or just use the glass carboy and use the bucket for bottling only? Thanks for your help.

    Beer recipe

    Hi guys! I have a recipe for an IPA that says to leave it in the primary for two weeks and transfer to secondary for another week. I don't have a secondary. Is this necessary? Can I leave it in the carboy for three weeks?
