well i was going to build a brew rig, but after watching that video i think my next project should be a negative air pressure clean room to do my wort transfers in.

No but seriously, I just drilled out two of my kegs last night. I used a step bit. The size of the bit depends on if you are going weldless or not. I used the Harbor Freight step bit with some cutting oil and it worked great. 7 holes in ~1.5 hours. Make...
search for hop spider here, there are a lot of ways to build one. I did something similar to this https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/hop-spider-cheap-207803/ it works great and no more fishing for hop bags.
I was looking at the datasheet for the 18b20 and it said if you are measuring temps close to 100C you should use external power. Not sure if those reporting issues with high temps are using parasite power mode or not....
with a 7 foot cable is was getting +/-30 degrees F but was +/- 1 on the breadboard. +/-30 F is way not cool. Ordered the 1wire sensors yesterday so I'll try them out when they get in. At $1.75 a sensor for the DS18B20 I can't really go wrong. I should have tried them out first.
Im not exactly using 1 wire, im using lm35 sensors with a netduino. The netduino only puts out 3v, I don't know whats going on because my sensor is all over the place with a 7 foot run, but accurate and stable with a 2 foot run...
i doing something similar to this with a netduino. I bought some cable off amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EI0XRK/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20) its 3C 22AWG, but it doesnt appear to be thick enough for a 7' run (id like extra length in my probes.
What gauge cables are you using...
So ive skimmed this post, but am a little confused. How do you control the output on these sticks? Or is there just two settings on/off? I have 2 GFI outlets in my garage but they are 110v can i use those outlets?
Thanks!
Im building a single tier wallace style stand, and I was only going with one pump. What i planed was draining from MT to BK than sparge from HLT to MT, why use a bucket?
well you could send it to me...
google keg to kettle, an angle grider and 10 minutes later and you have a kettle. I would recommend building a jig to make sure you get a clean and circular cut.
good luck!
So when you get these from brewershardware the probes dont come with the sensor already installed correct? Its just an empty tube? right? If so do you know if the inside diameter of the probe will accept a sensor that is 5.2 millimeters in diameter?
yeah google code gives you a choice of svn, get, or mercuirial. This is svn. I was totally kidding. I have some major updates I need to make (have to make my netduinio serve json data), ill keep a note of the index and clean it up later. Thanks!
