    Another EasyDens Thread

The app that is used for both has an ABV mode. You add a sample to the SmartRef, then the EasyDens, hit measure and it magically spits out ABV. https://www.my-smartref.com/products/easydens-smartref-combo?variant=46899940786524

    Another EasyDens Thread

I have had the EasyDens for a couple years and picked up a SmartRef about a year ago. I like the EasyDens as its far easier for me to read and uses a lot less wort/beer. For brew day, the SmartRef is even easier for pre-boil gravity as cooling that even smaller amount of worth is really...

Sold Monster Mill 3 For Sale

Seller hasn’t been around since September. I’m considering selling my MM3 with gear motor but not shippable from SE Mich.

    New Basement Build

Before adding that fan, take a look at what a lot of us have been doing with steam condensers. Mine works better than my fan and is a lot quieter which is nice for watching TV while brewing.

Suitable for use at home - Free test for Natural Gas Detector INKBIRDPLUS HD05

If it was Bluetooth so I could integrate into Home Assistant like the IBS-TH1 temp sensors I'd gladly do a long term test. Wouldn't be interested in WIFI due to the requirement to share location in your app.

    Northern Brewer - Buyer Beware

Haha, I wonder how many of us are doing that with them? Mine stayed in Indy after so we still do it. We were actually there last weekend visiting but had a packed day Saturday and couldn't make it in. My personal warehouse is stocked well enough to make it to our next trip anyway.

    MoreBeer is out of California?

Northern Brewer and their acquisitions Adventures in Homebrewing and Austin Homebrew Supply went online only as did Homebrew Ohio. Seems to be the way things are going.

    Northern Brewer - Buyer Beware

The last two and current owners of NB/MS/AIH/AHS are VC firms. They don't GAF about you or their employees. They do nothing to support the hobby that doesn't make them a disproportionate buck. Pretty sad to see the hug-fest for them while they f*ck over their customers and unceremoniously...

    Northern Brewer - Buyer Beware

But that's not what they did. They bought it and continued to take orders knowing they would be significantly delayed while they packed up the warehouse and moved it. And its the third time this company has done this with move in recent years and when they bought and burned down AIH.

    Northern Brewer - Buyer Beware

Nah, the problem is the company. The buyer knew what they were buying (or didn't do their due diligence) and took actions that made it even worse before the weather.

    Northern Brewer - Buyer Beware

Kind of disingenuous to blame your customer service that's been abysmal for years on a weather event.

    $upport your local store, until....

Mine was Adventures in Homebrewing. It wasn't particularly convenient but we made regular trips there until Covid shut down the one store which made it a little harder. Then Northern Brewer suddenly closed the other and fired the staff. Cadillac Straights in Madison Heights has a decent...

Site Gauge? What is it called and where can I find a replacement?

Kind of hard to see, but Isn't that just a 1/2" compression fitting threaded into a 1/2" tee fitting? If you want to get going without, just remove that an install a 1/2" NPT plug while waiting for parts from @Bobby_M

    Automated multi-step fermentation

Interesting way of doing it. You could add home assistant to the mix which would let you create a UI, keep history, etc and still use nodered for control.
