Very nice. I'll hit 2 weeks in bottles on Monday. Trying very hard not to try one out now. We've had some crazy weather here lately, but it seems like we're hitting a warm spell. Can't wait to try one of these out in warm weather.

Pretty much do this when I use plastic fermenters. With carboys, I shake 'em up a bit. So far it seems to work enough.

It's really creepy to me to know that two little towns that are like half an hour from me are completely ravaged. Luckily, Louisville is pretty much unscathed (at least where I am).

So far my simple recipes and stuff are just things that come to me. Soon I'm gonna brew up an Arrogant Bastard inspired ale that I'm gonna use oak chips with to try and get some bold earthiness. Plan on calling it "Forest King Ale". Heh.

After 10 days, this brew is in the bottles! I guess I probably let the temperature get too high at times, because the sample I tried had a bit more banana flavors than I was expecting, but I still can really get behind this for an easy and drinkable ale. Hell, I might make a second batch soon...

I've gotten a lot of flack from some people, but for me, it might honestly be My fiancee and I as a unit managed to struggle to finish it. I don't wanna talk about how much OMG IT SUXX, I just chalk it up as a beer not meant for me. Also hate hate hate hate Killian's.

I've only bottled in 12oz. bottles so far, but I got some plans to put some big brews in bombers. Will keep an eye on on this thread so hopefully we can both learn something. :p

Went ahead and took a gravity reading since it's been a week just to make sure I'm looking good..and I definitely am. My carboy and the area around it and a complete mess (haha), but it's smelling pretty good. Worst case scenario, I get busy starting up next week and I'll bottle next weekend...

I'm definitely using tubing for my next brews. After having a hefe absolutely cause a huge mess and a belgian strong ale constantly blow it's top off, I think it's time to try something new to make me not clean as much.
