    i have had a batch go south on me when my temp got to high using edenburgh yeast and i know of other that have had the same problem...just wondering if it is the yeast was all hmmm dont use dry yeast so i am not familliar with that one

    honestly....pitch em both.......let it run its corse and see what ya get......:mug: If i remember right an ale and lager yeast mix will make a cream ale type texture....worth a shot

    well my two primarys are empty and my secondarys are empty.....sounds like i need to get brewing!!!!!!! thinking a spice pumpkin ale i keep hearing about on here and also another attempt at a "Red faced Scottsman" Scottish heavy....maybe a good one at around 10-12% ought ta make his face good...

    wel i found the extract version pretty simple really..... 8.0 lbs pale malt extract in place of the 9.0 lbs of english pale malt thats the only differance..........you know the standard priming sugar and when to rack to secondary and when to bottle?? if not 1 week primary 2 weeks...

    ok only have an ag version but if you take it to your LHBS they can help you figure a extract version to it 9.0 lbs english pale malt 1.0 lbs crystal (70 L) 8.0 oz. crystal (26 L) 1.0 oz. target hop pellets 6.7% alpha (60 min.) 0.5 oz. challenger ho pellets 8.2% alpha (15 min.) 0.5 oz...

    Simple boil it cool it and pitch it with a good amount of shaking(picture a paint mixer at homedepot( coll it and pitch a new vial or two of yeast:mug:

    Sanitation Question

    I use PBW to clean my carboy fill erup and then siphon to my bottling bucket clean all my tools and bottles then fill the carboy with water and StarSan...and repeat the siphon to the bucket to sanatise the equipment and bottles...a little time consuming but it works for me....:mug:

    LoL yeah we hav ehad a few popers in our brew carrers...worst one was a huge mess on the kitchen floor that the wife made me mop the whole damm floor...was still sticky for weeks... i allways plan a big blow up and use a tube for the primary fermentation...airlock for secondary unless i am...

    I love snakes...goood eatin....anyways as i was groing up in southern cal. i watched my dad put a 12 gauge slug in to a 6 foot rattler that was the biggest MF i ever seen ..and i agree save the dogs eat the snakes....(I actually own a snake as a pet but Rattlers are good eating..):mug:

    Got to try to brew a intresting beer i read about in a issue of either zyrmurgy or brew your own it is called chanclors ale its a big one at 11% or so if you do not have the issue i will dig it out and forward it to you if you would like..:tank:

    First All Grain in the books...

    I think the AG The Happy Mug and I did shall be named Comedy of Errors Imperial Stout......so many things went wrong and it still turned out in kick a$$ fasion:tank:
