If all your sanitation was correct just put the lid on the fermentation bucket after you pour your wort in and get your yeast it will wait.

    Back to BIAB!

I really like this thread. It gives so much to use new brewers. Before I start with my BIAB I would like to comment about my conditions. I live in the country, I have no outside area to brew on, no garage or shop to brew in. My house is small and all bedrooms are in use(Wife, granddaughter, and...

High Gravity Brewing vs Brew Boss vs Another Electric Brewing Setup

I would say that a DIY project is not for everyone but for those that do "good for them". Heck I've even done one on a controller for my fermentation chamber, it wasn't to hard but the planning and running to get everything was just not really my thing. I'm sure if I wanted to, I could build my...

    High Gravity BIAB sys

Thanks Jason; I saw the vid of Basic Brewing on this system. I'm not really starting out from scratch, I've brewed a few batches with my 20 quart kettle but its a pain in the behind doing a 5 gal. in that size kettle and yes I know a lot of people do it and like it, but I don't. I want a system...

High Gravity Brewing vs Brew Boss vs Another Electric Brewing Setup

I plan on making a trip to the High Gravity Store in the near future, and want to talk to Dave about this system. I'll bring your (augiedoggy) statements about the poor quality and workmanship of the EBC controller and cost of the system up at that time. I'll see if he has one he can show me...

High Gravity Brewing vs Brew Boss vs Another Electric Brewing Setup

Hello All; I posted in the all grain forum about this system wanting some answers form those who have used it. I see that a lot of brewers are saying that the system is cheap or its to expensive or what not. All I have to say is depending on which sight you go to or who you ask someone somewhere...

    First Time BIAB Question

Only thing I can come up with, was the yeast fresh or was it old? How was your fermentation conditions (stable or w/temp swings). Three weeks should have been enough time to ferment but now that your doing all grain need to take hydrometer readings about 3 days before you think its finished IMO...

    High Gravity BIAB sys

Hello all. I'm planning on pulling the trigger on the High Gravity BIAB brewing system in November, and was wondering if anyone here at HomeBrewTalk has any experience with this system? High Gravity is just a few miles from where I live so I'll save on shipping. I know that Screwy Brewer has the...

    Howdy from Oklahoma

I'm a new brewer, just started brewing 2 months ago, wife got me a Mr. Beer kit and completed 4 extract kits> I then went to my LHBS and got a 5 gal. kit and split into 2 LBK's. It's a Vienna Lager so I just started to lower the temp to lager and have about 4 weeks to go before I bottle. Looking...
