Old news I know, but Beer Wars is a great movie!

I agree, but that could be said for all movies. They were trying to spin the "personal" story in w/ the info. But you're right, most of us don't care about the extra stuff.:fro:

    How impatient are you?

Ok, OK, I'm w/ ya. Not enough in the pipeline to be too patient. I have opened a brew not more than 5 minutes after bottling, just to check if "I was it doing right". Typically from from week 1 on I check every few days. I know enough to wait, but god damnit this hobby is enjoyable. But yes I...

Old news I know, but Beer Wars is a great movie!

Ya, The Moonshot lady is prob not doing well, I haven't seen the stuff anywhere. Though she does have some cred, helping start Sam Adams. Hopefully she does well in the future, she needs a new idea. I imagine the carboy was for the camera, I'm sure Sam knows what he's doing, funny though that...

Old news I know, but Beer Wars is a great movie!

I just watched for the 1st time...great movie, a lot of heavy weights weighing in on the our beloved brew. I was very impressed in the way it was delivered. BMC are running scared!:rockin:

    Brewing After the Zombie Apocalypse

YA, I didn't think if they were "slow" or fast" zombies" but once you get to your island no worries, aside from the rogue swimming undead. I might induce a zombie epidemic just to start my own brewery someday.:ban:

    Brewing After the Zombie Apocalypse

edit:Above post is F'ing hilarious! Zombies love BMC, it's like their Kryptonite. I'm with you dude! Think of all that beer! I would arm myself, acquire survival gear (including beer) and head off to "My island, It's mine". Establish survival plan, kick back, get farschnikered, establish a...

    Stone XI Anniversary Clone

What is it? My mom likes hops and has had some wimpy hopped ipa's of mine and said they were too hoppy. See tries my supper hopped dark ale and says she can't taste the hops. T:cross:aste with the tongue, not the eyes people. haha

    Stone XI Anniversary Clone

Not much difference between Carafa 2 and 3 so no worries. I used 2 and it was dark as night, in fact I'll use less next time (9-10oz instead of 1lb) my Mom who knows beer well, said "oh tastes like Guiness" WTF no it doesn't! So less roastyness next time. I've played w/ hop schedule on 2 brews...

    Rogue Oregon Golden Ale clone????

Oldsocks' advice on the recipe is a good way to go, this is a pretty simple beer (and good!) As far as Pacman it's a year-round strain now through Wyeast. It's my go to yeast, good for most ale's. Try and buy it at a LHBS, that way it's likely it was shipped well. good luck :rockin:

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

I just racked my first batch of Ed's Pale Ale to secondary. Tastes Great! I made this for the less adventurous friends for my annual Memorial Day camping trip. I think it will be a big hit!:rockin:

    Stone XI Anniversary Clone

I've had great luck w/ pacman, I think 001 would work just fine. I did a 2L starter and had a really good ferment. Good luck, you'll definettly wanna do this one again.

This Week's Thought Provoking Power HooHah

Oh man, i just showed my wife this, she's an ICU nurse and said "That woman is gonna have a prolapsed vagina, that can not be good for anything!" ya SWMBO, guess she won't be doing this workout plan anytime soon.

This Week's Thought Provoking Power HooHah

Holy hell! I can't stop laughing long enough to type this, hahahahaha. WTF??? I know enough about womans' anatomy, but where is that being held? Majora or Minora? Oh damn, that is some crazy yoga stuff I've never seen! Maybe SWMBO would be interested in this? hahaha, I'm gonna show her.:rockin:

    Dry hopping in the bottle

Above post sounds like a good experiment, I was thinking boil water, steep hops (time to be determined) pull out hops, add sugar. Not sure if the hops would suck up a significant amount of sugar but this sounds like an experiment for my next hoppy brew. Two posts up, Gila beat me to it.:drunk:

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I'll be brewing an American wheat I call Hugh Hef. My uneducated friends wanted a hefe, I made a "traditional" one w/hefe yeast. They were like "dude this doesn't taste like Widmer". So I'll give them one brewed w/ pacman so no good hefe flavors are in there. Chumps!

    Brewery names--what's your story?

Did this work? my 1st picture posting. I know it's kinda rough, but this was my self taught jump into photoshop. If the need arises I'll change it up and make it look more pro. But it was fun to do. It was a Chuck Norris cartoon, that I cut-up and the lettering is from a "Jughead" comic.

A label for our Annual Memorial Day camping trip in tribute to my lil brother who passed away. This is him when he was young, and no he wasn't normally a cowboy, that's why this is soo funny.
