Since it is widely accepted that doing late extract additions is the best way to make good extract beers, why do all kits still say to add all the extract at the beginning? I never really understood this. I think it's really confusing/frustrating for new brewers when they follow the directions...

i ordered the kit from NB and was wondering if i should add anything to the recipe or just brew it as is. i saw a couple people mention that a little watery or didn't have a lot of flavor to it, but there are also a ton of great reviews for it. any suggestions are appreciated. :mug:

Hey guys! I'm new to brewing and interested in this clone since it is my favorite IPA. I was trying to look through the pages but is the recommended recipe still the one on the first page from 2007? I am interested in doing extract or partial mash. Thanks!
