I never saw the square ones! I really wanted to get the round ones when I saw them but they woulndt fit. Any idea on the dimensions? I cant find them on the site or anywhere else for that matter... Seems they are the only place that carries the square ones and they are out of stock too!

Thanks for that tip. I did that and i see that if I add 7 oz of aciduated malt then it gets my mash ph in the "green". But then I see that my "Effective Alkalinity and Residual alkalinity -111 and -132 respectively. Is this ok? AND it shows that my Ca, Ng and SO4 numbers are low. Is THAT ok?

Do you guys see ANY downside to using these as fermenters? I have never seen square fermenters before. And being plastic (i have always used glass) do you think that would be an issue?

Those sizes are IDEAL I think! BUT... it says "ideal for DRY food storage". Does that mean that its not air tight? Or maybe that it will leach into wet foods??

Now that I feel confident about having 14 inches, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one that size but the issue I am finding is that the diameters all seem to be 15 or more!

I just used a space relation program for placing furniture in a house to determine the max diameter that I can use . If I figured things correctly and the program is accurate, then it looks like I can fit two vessels with a 14.08 inch diameter.

Those all look GREAT ! However not any of them will allow me to fit 2 into the fermentation chamber. I havent figured the exact diameter that is the max, but i believe it is closer to 13.5 inches. :( Any other ideas??

I think I am going to buy 4 of the new big mouth plastic carboys instead. They are 6.5 gallons each and they are only 11 inches wide. This would allow for 4 of them to fit perfectly and still leave the hump unused!
