    Ipod shuffle? How many podcasts...

    So, for Jamil's cast for instance I could get 40 some podcasts on 1 gig with the shuffle.(1000/22=45-whatever overhead loss for data=~40ish) Wow! I'd be happy all week. I was thinking I'd need to update the playlist once a day(10-12 hrs of listen time)

    I understand the things called SHUFFLE, but so far from what's been said it sounds like the shuffle feature can't be turned off. I'd think in this day and age at $80 for a product like this it would have more functionality.(empty rant) Anyways, it doesn't matter for my uses.

    Has anyone made carbonated apfelwein?

    Bottle conditioned 1st batch of apfelwien. It's going fast. I used 1/2 # corn sugar to carb. It's taking a long time to get carbed. Opened one tonight and its nearly perfectly carbed. It definately adds something positive vs. still.

    max for 10 gal Rubbermaid cooler?

    I managed 19.5# of grain in 10 gal. rubbermaid, a barleywine. Batch sparged. The mash had plenty of room on round one. At mash-out it got close to the top but I wasn't worried it wouldn't all fit. Worked fine. Maybe with 5# more of grain there would have been a problem. I used 1.25...

    Hey, whatever works for ya. Your one of the first regular posters I got used to cuz of the Uecker. Never really posted much to forums before so the Uecker was a familiar face in a new place. Funny how that works. I feel like a kid again!

    Ok I see what you did...honey in place of maple syrup, added another hop addition, different yeast(but really the same, just different company IIRC). Neat-o! Curious what the longer mash time (90 min vs. 60 min) accomplished? Original recipe from Brewpastor called for 60 min. Better efficiency?

    Digital probe thermometer is off- Is it fixable??

    To follow up with what Biermuncher said, IIRC 20-30 min.at 350 should fix it. Then when the probe is reading correctly then you can fix the wetness problem by doing this...HomebrewTalkRocks! I don't know if it actually works but I do plan on doing it at some point. edit: Doh! I go to play in...

    Cheese, what recipe did you end up going with? BP's water to barleywine(no honey in this recipe) or the other one:D ? I went with BP's water to barleywine with a substituting maple syrup with 1# belgian candy and using wyeast 3787. Any thoughts?
