    Apartment RIMS - crazy idea?

Basically, recirculation means you get the wort out of the kettle and take it back on top of the grain bed. You can do this manually or with a pump. A motor driving a paddle is doing nothing more than stirring and can also be done by hand :D IMHO, 10 gal if you never brewed all grain is...

    Herms heat coil attachment question

Depends on what you got on your keg. If you got 1/2 nipples, you can use a press fit to 1/2 NPT. See http://www.plumbingsupply.com/compress.html

    Chocolate Espresso Stout

I might look like stupid, but when you say 4 cups of brewed coffee. I'm french native with a italian family so for me espresso means a little cup of coffee make with 2 tsp of coffee and 1/4 cup water and you spoon can stand upright in the cup ;o) I'm joking, but I'm not far from truth. I know in...

Has anyone made their own thermometer circuit?

I did some kind of overkill thermometer with a pic, i2c sensors D1820, and i2c 4 digits 7 segments display with SAA1064. Worked well, but was a base for a full temp control of my setup. Project has been killed by my first child and now I got a new 6 weeks old baby, I ain't got time to work on...

    A PID Question.......

There are systems with 3 pids called PLC but it's not really affordable and still need SSRs. The BCS-460 and the brewtroller look like nice toys for big boys ( and girls ) ;o) You can grab 3 PIDs at auberins and make a nice setup with that.

    Brutus 10 frame questions

.065 is enough. I had one stand made with .065 and I could jump on it and it will never bend. It was from some "recycled" steel from an old frame and mig soldered.

    Web Controlled All-in-One Temp Controller

I had some trouble too with the d18b20 when I was playing with them and a PIC18F2550. The power was not really 5 volts and was too noisy. For the probes, you can get a look on ebay and search on thermowell. I saw some that fit 1/2NPT. The best thing I found using thermowells is to put a...

2.5 Gallons or 10 liters brewery set

That's what I was thinking about electricity I got some troubles sourcing the heater elements, but I won't let it down. The size is mainly for test purposes. I got a pal who owns a maltery and in some time, we might add a brewery. But before that, we've got to test in small quantities...
