    firt batch question

an update: I used muntons gold dry yeast. It was my first time so I followed the instructions that said, sprinkle on top, don't need a starter! It was at high temp? maybe. Not too high, but closer to 80 that 70, for sure. The worth was cooler, but the watter in the bucket was warmer, so at the...

I thought the same... I push the lid and the level goes up. Maybe I have to give it more time... Now I have to be patient... that's the hard part! :) thanks!

    firt batch question

Hi folks! I brewed for the first time last night... The wort has been in the fermenter the whole night now and I don't see any bubbles... About to start homebrewing

I have enough non-twist offs to bottle 2 2.5 gal batches. So I am probably including only a couple of twist offs intermixed with the others in each batch...

    About to start homebrewing

Thanks usmcruz and Denny! Yep. I am looking for new, plastic food grade containers in the 2.5-3.5 gal volume. I'll see what I can get. Otherwise I'll go with the 5 gal. bucket I saw at the store. The cooler idea is good as well, I'll check it out. Once I gain confidence I'll try to go with a...

    About to start homebrewing

Hi folks! I've been reading a bit about homebrewing now, including lurking at this site. By now I am ready to start brewing, but I have a couple of questions. First my ideas: I've decided that I'll start with 2.5 gal all extract batches. This is roughly half of most of the recipes I've...
