    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

As I mentioned not too long ago, it is incredibly simple to put together yourself. The dryer (heavy gauge) extension cords are already available. The only thing you must do is cut the included plug off, and strip the wires a little. A new plug to match your 220V (dryer) outlet at home can be...

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

I know, it is getting quite long and hard to find things in the thread. I was wondering if this might warrant a seperate forum where topics could actually be organized by thread. Or perhaps a wiki would be better, since we are collecting quite a bit of information. 1. yes 2. Mine came...

    Review my Oatmeal Stout Recipe

Thanks for the suggestions. The main reason I threw in some Black Patent was to darken the color a bit. In Beersmith, the anticipated color was looking a little too light without something darker in there. Should I go with some black barley instead, or perhaps lower the amount?

    Review my Oatmeal Stout Recipe

This will the the first recipe I have designed myself. I was hoping everyone could give it a quick look-over and make sure I'm not making any big mistakes. My intent is to have a very full-body, creamy and rich stout. As far as equipment goes, I will be using the Braumeister which is...

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

I noticed nobody had answered this yet for you so... yes. I received mine several weeks ago and it certainly did come with the stainless mesh screens. Although I have had a piece of grain stuck in the impeller ALREADY on my first brew. Looks like I will need to be more careful.

MD hard water - what styles?

Thanks for the feedback... One question Did you mean the sulfate will be fine or high? If you meant high for noble, I'm not understanding why I would need to supplement it for more heavily hopped beers. Thanks for the clarification.

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

Me! I have a different username on youtube from which I sent you some questions. Well I should also note that this was also my first all-grain batch ever, so I don't really have much to compare it to. I was following the Walker's GRUAGACH 80 recipe that I found here on the site, and kept the...

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

Hey All - Just wanted to check-in with everyone. I got my Braumeister 20L the end of last week, and have brewed one batch on it so far. Thanks to Yambor44 answering some questions on youtube (under a different alias) and the advice in this thread, I was able to get through the brew day...

MD hard water - what styles?

Hey All. I've been reading some tutorials and I just wanted to confirm a few assumptions I had about my water. Looks like my Ca and Mg levels are all in order, but it seems like my Total Hardness is pretty high. It seems that I will best be suited to brewing styles with an SRM between...

    First time brewer and member!

Hello all! My first batch (honey brown kit from AHS) is already bottled and should be ready to drink in one week. I learned much already doing the first batch, so I already ordered my second kit (cluster fuggle IPA from AHS) and am looking forward to brewing something that should be even...
