    What are you drinking now?

Rouge Captain Sig's Northwestern Ale. I've been wanting to try it for a while. It's pretty good, I'd buy it again. I really like that they list they exact grains, hops, and yeast that they use right on the bottle

    Battle over the "strange" name

Objection, you can not split pleas like that. Two bowls of split plea soup to go, eh.

how are you cooking your turkey this year?

Once the oil cools down you can strain it and funnel it back in the original container and save it in a cool dark place. It'll last a long time.

Post a pic--let's see your ugly mugs

Enjoying the last pint of my Iron Sheik IPA. Time to brew another batch. And me with my son, my beard is as old as he is. 7 months and both are getting bigger everyday.

how are you cooking your turkey this year?

No turkey this year, kinda tired of the same old thing. I usually deep fry or smoke them. I'll brine for a smoked turkey, and with the deep fried ones I like to inject them with buffalo hot wing sauce (turns out awesome!). This year I'm smoking 5 or 6 racks of baby backs and a big leg of lamb.

Ok here goes how much do you drink?

I don't drink on the week nights and usually not on the weekends unless something is going on. If I'm going to party I can easily kill 14 or 15 beers in a night. Usually a bad idea. I'm getting older now and it seems like the hangovers are lasting longer and longer. Used to last an afternoon now...

    My new (future) assistant brewer.

Congratulations! Being a dad is awesome! My son turned 7 months old yesterday, he's the best thing that's ever happened to me. It's the greatest feeling in the world to get a big smile first thing in the morning when I'm getting him out of his crib. Take tons of pictures! They change almost...

You know you're a home brewer when?

You're at a party and take it upon yourself to wash out everyone's empty bottles.

    What are you drinking now?

It's outstanding! I should have bought more than one

    What are you drinking now?

New Belgium's lips of faith imperial chocolate coffee stout. Holy crap this beer is amazing. At 9% it's perfect to sip out by the fire on a cool night. Which is exactly what I'm doing

    Beer and guns

My AR is a Bushmaster. It's awesome, I haven't done any modifications too it aside from the guy I got it from added a 20" heavy barrel. It's reliable and accurate I couldn't be happier with it. I've also got a Ruger 10-22 that thing is awesome. It's so much fun to shoot. I've got a bull barrel...

    Beer and guns

Yeah I'll probably just stick to my side of town. I used to work at a bike shop out there on tenaya and azure, pretty close to the range. I thought about bringing my guns and checking it out one day after work but just never did. The boulder range is ok, kinda pricey. There's a dedicated...

    Beer and guns

I looked at your first picture and was thinking that looked an awful lot like the scenery around where I live and then noticed you're from Vegas. I live in Henderson. Is that the range at the top of Decatur? I've been wanting to go out there but it's a long haul from where I live. I'm basically...

    Beer and guns

I love my Mossberg. I've got the 590 special purpose. I'm going to change out the stock to match that one soon. Also a huge fan of my AR-15.

    Transfering and bottling stand

Thanks! I can't wait to quit bottling, I gotta get a few more pieces of equipment for brewing then ill start working on getting kegs. That's what I was thinking. When I make one for myself, I'll build a gate on one side with a couple hinges at the top so I can swing it around and it'll rest on...

    Transfering and bottling stand

That's what I'm going to change. I figured that out when I filled my bottling bucket up and tried to put it up on the top platform. I'll adjust the angle on the top platform as well, from 30 degrees to 20 or 25. I'll give it to him fully assembled and tell him it's a lot easier to get buckets...

    Transfering and bottling stand

My buddy mentioned that he wanted to get a transferring/bottling stand a while ago so I threw this together for his birthday. Hopefully it'll work out for him. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I figured out a few things I'd like to change when I make one for myself hahahaha. Only about 7...

    What are you drinking now?

I want to get this dialed in now so I'll have a useful skill if I ever go to prison.

    What are you drinking now?

A pint of my first gallon batch of cider. After all the gravity checks I ended up with 3 bombers and a test bottle so I know when it's time to pasteurize. It ended up at 6.3% I mixed in some brown sugar and molasses before I bottled it. I'm pretty happy with the results. It's not bad for juice...
