    The Twelve Hopostles

Yeah, I did ferment them all at once. Post #129 has a picture. I didn't use citra, but you certainly can.

    The Twelve Hopostles

I used Mittlefruh for St. Andrew. I can't say for sure yet, but the samples tasted pretty interesting a good for the noble hop IPAs. I'll have a more complete review for you in a few weeks.

    The Twelve Hopostles

It is indeed a crazy project. The brewing was a lot of work but very fun and went quickly. The bottling is a serious commitment. It would be way easier if you didn't need to wash and delabel all the bottles. I spent approximately 20 hours just cleaning a delabelling, the bottling and...

    The Twelve Hopostles

I did find enough brewing partners for the project. I had to turn a couple people away actually; I wanted to have some beer after all. I kept about 4 cases for Danika and I.

Judas isn't really a CDA, but it is black. I used 0.6# of de-bittered black malt from Dingmann's to move the color to 33 SRM. So it is black, but does not have an appreciable roasted note. Should be a good aesthetic without throwing off the idea of the series.

Thanks guys. Yes... Judas may hold a surprise. The back lighting may give it away;)

    Terminology Chat - "tap"

Correct, I would be talking about the act of tapping, or inserting the coupler into the vessel to produce fluid flow.

    Terminology Chat - "tap"

I agree, it confuses the issue every time. Here are the parts as I label them Tap/coupler - the part that "taps" into the keg. lines - obvious shank - connected to the tap by a line faucet - pours the beer tap handle - the part you grab, may or may not have a marker on it

    Better picinic tap

How weird... I figured they would because they are a boarder state.
  14. Boerderij_Kabouter

    Better picinic tap

The angle of the tap is not an issue at all, but as mentioned above it isn't really a full time tap option because you have no resistance as normally offered by the lines. I used to serve at 4 psi out of that tap attachment. Randy, the link I sent was to Midwest supplies in Minnesota (!) they...

    Better picinic tap

Check you pluto taps. They are big in AU apparently and I have always thought it would be cool to have one. I would suggest searching eBay as well as more standard AU homebrew shops to find the cheapest shipping. EDIT: BOOOOOOM...

Building permits for a dedicated brewing room - hints?

I would call it a kitchen, and if they inquire what you are cooking that requires such a large hood, just tell them you got it for a good deal and that it looks awesome. If they push you, tell the truth that it is for beer. But I would leave that out as long as possible without hiding the...

    Chi Company

I have been completely satisfied with all my purchases from CHI company. I have purchased about 6 kegs, and a kegerator setup from them. Customer service was great for me.

Bottling stage is in process. Judas and John are in bottles already. Hopefully, I will be done by the end of this coming weekend.

Trader Joe's Vintage Ale - label removal

Trader Joe's bought the Vintage beer from Unibroue in something like 2005. It is still released yearly.
