Dark berry flavor for the new Spider-Man movie....I'm not a soda drinker but I saw that and couldn't pass it up lol! Not bad! Just super super sweet, wish it was in 8 oz cans

Are you closing it up completely or leaving some ports open to air dry it out while stored?

After installing my giant sight glass under my conical I'm a little conscerned that my racking arm wont reach far down enough to get every bit of beer off the yeast/trub cake at the bottom......especially after harvesting yeast. Has anyone had trouble racking off all their beer?

Spikes CIP ball doesn't require much pressure they say......but I have the Blichmann riptide pump and that bastard flows like crazy!

eesh I didn't think about the filth it would spray up on the lid....prolly not worth it then

Also, while messing around with the racking arm, I discovered if you put some keg lub on only the one side of the washer that meets the conical and no where else, it makes rotating that arm much smoother

Got her in!!! So I have a great idea for transferring wort to the conical while aerating at the same time. What if we pump it in through the CIP ball!?!?!? It would splash it like crazy going in and aerate the piss outta it!! Anyone tried that??

Thats awesome....I need to buy some 1.5" and 2" TC covers so I can do cleanings like that.... I don't have the full leg extensions I have the shortys so I'm not sure if that setup will work for me. Do you keep the sight glass attached the whole time?

That’s a great idea. I also use a port on my lid to recirculate. Never thought of using it for aeration!

For everyone that owns a conical do you feel all the extra effort that goes into it is worth the $$? The 20+ parts that goes on it and all the fittings and the cleaning and sanitizing of everything. I’m coming off a twin set of 5g SS Brewtech Brew buckets and I’m just hoping the extra options...

Ok onto OXYGENATING YOUR WORT in Conicals. For the last several years I’ve simply held my hose really high and let it “splash” it’s way into the fermenter always causing tons of bubbles as it fills up. And that method has never let me down. However I never had all these handy ports at my...

You know that gives me an idea. Instead of moving the fermenter to my BK to fill it, move the BK to the fermenter. Maybe find me a cart with casters to wheel it over. Edit: I’ve got it!!! Purchase universal casters to go on my stainless table. Unbolt it from the wall and wheel that bastard to...

    eBIAB Basket Design

I love my basket from Utah Biodiesel!! Only thing I wish I did was have the walls a solid metal with mesh only at the bottom. That way during recirculating it makes a nice filter bed and clarifies your wort. As far as feet, I went with no feet and use the false bottom sold by brewhardware.com...

    Too much trub

That’s not chill haze. It’s just unfiltered homebrew. You can try clarifying with gelatin. Or let the bottles sit in a fridge for a few weeks and don’t disturb them. They’ll clarify

And garage dust/dirt. I park two full sized vehicles, 3 dirt bikes, a golf cart, and a zero turn in my garage. My brewery gets dirty. Bout to start tarping it. Dirt sucks! Lol

You may be right. I just went and measured how deep the fridge is, it will come too close to my truck if I put it by my BK. So if I run that long ass hose, do I put my pump closest to the fermenter? Way I figure is, there’s much less line losses because the pump will “suck” wort all the way too...

Yep, but I really like where my fridge is now lol.....I'm sure that's what I'll end up doing though

    10 gal batch fermenters

Yep! I went ahead and bit the bullet and sold my Gibson Les Paul and went full tilt on a Spike CF10 conical fermenter. Thanks for all the suggestions. That kegmenter looks awesome!! Hopefully this thread gives others in this position some ideas!
