Agreed! That makes 3 of us! I tried their IPA and stout and both were terrible. Two of the worst beers I've ever put to my mouth. Best: Legend Brewery Brewpub http://www.legendbrewing.com/index.asp Awesome beer (try the IPA), decent food and good location on the James River in Richmond, VA

Good day all, I lurked on this site quite a bit before finally joining up. Currently brewing 1 gallon batches using the Brooklyn Brew Shop's kits. However, I hope to upgrade my set up to be doing 5 gallon AG batches soon enough (come on Christmas!). I've learned a great deal from reading...

Pardon my ignorance, what lesson was that?

As a newb with only two batches under my belt I'm glad I decided to use a blow-off tube. My first batch (IPA) probably didn't need a blow-off. My second batch (pumpkin dubbel) blew a decent amount of krausen into my bowl of sanitizer only a few hours after pitching the yeast.
