    Making liqueurs?

I searched on Google and on here and couldn't much information on thsi subject, I was wondering how hard it would be to make something around 20 - 23 percent (so not distilling) that resembled fruit based liqueurs. (A Guess) Is it simply, Water sugar + super yeast then flavours? How do you...

Odd secondary with rhubarb... What's this picture???

I wouldn't personally bother, I'd just rack it to another bucket without any form of filter, Leave it over night to settle hopefully all the bits have gone to the bottom, transfer to another bucket to bottle OR leave for another night a repeat process (This is how i do fruit wine) Each time you...

    Cooper beer enhancer

Does the enhancer have a big effect on flavour? Do the beers taste good without it?? Only just thought of this, after bottling a Mexican lager today, what tasted a little weak, but i'm guessing this is down to it being "green" and needing a longer in the bottle etc. I was just wondering...

    think its contaminated!

Rdwhahb! :) Its nothing to worry about you can leave it in secondary for months. Probably just needs to be careful when bottling to not get any bits in them by using a filter :)

    Working out ABV

That is true, I do have two hydrometer, i might drag my old en' out and see if it gives different reading to the new! I'm guessing overall with the equations and human eye and hydrometer could make a various of around 1% ether way.

    Working out ABV

Just wondering what is the right equation to use. I've used coopers beer kits they say (OG-FG)/7.46 + 0.5=ABV% Another i've read says: (OG-FG) /7.5 =ABV% then i brought a set yesterday and it says this in the instructions (OG-FG) /7.365 =ABV% Because saying that OG was 1070 and...

I brought a cheapo plastic keg came with the little 8grm gas bulbs. I was thinking, if the beer is added plus priming sugar should their be enough pressure from that to not need to use the bulbs or do they have to be used. Overall i have no idea, dont want it blowing up on me!! Any...

I'm doing one of coopers lager right now, Temperatures actually say 18 - 27 and best is 20 - 24 Celsius, Im guessing their instruction will be correct! And for lagering, how are you storing it? keg or bottle, just add priming sugar to each and leave for at least a week (3 recommended) to...
