Craft The Perfect Draft - Grow Your Own

@Ferde357 Considering he stocked 16 vials of yeast to reuse, that's actually $64 worth of yeast. And considering each of those, once used, could be re-collected in the same way, this can actually be a method by which a brewer could save a decent amount of money on yeast. Obviously yeast...

    Yet another RIMS toolbox!

Ah, I saw the grill on the back side of the box from the inside, but missed the fan in the front. Cool project. I look forward to seeing your experience with it to see if its something I want to do in the near future. Thanks for sharing.

    Yet another RIMS toolbox!

Have you noticed if the inside of the toolbox gets very warm/hot? Do you foresee needing to add a fan in the future?

    Yet another RIMS toolbox!

That's not bad at all. And a heck of lot better than these $1,000-3,000 control panels I see flying around the forums lately. Have you gotten any brews done with it yet?

    Yet another RIMS toolbox!

Nice looking toolbox control panel! I've been looking over a LOT of electric build threads lately trying to find something that I feel comfortable with. This one is awesome. If you don't mind, what kind of ballpark figure did this end up costing? (you can pm if you want) Did the toolbox feel...

    BIAB Keggle design for dummies

If you go with a keg and decide to cut the entire top off (instead of just a hole in the top), a 16" pizza pan makes an almost perfectly sized lid. The aluminum ones will rust over time, but for $5-6 at the grocery store, or less elsewhere, its a cheap option. I use Reflectix to insulate my...

Electric Brewing Supply 30A BCS Giveaway!

Count me in please! I really want to go electric.

    Simple SSVR-controlled e-BIAB rig

Wow, this thread has given me some awesome idea's! I currently use a Bayou Classic propane burner, with a single vessel BIAB keggle. I am wanting to go electric though, and have always been put off by the seeming high cost and complex control boxes. This is a project I feel confident I can...

My Ugly Junk- Corona Mill Station...

I use a 4 gallon plastic water bottle that the local grocery store sells for the cold water dispensers. I like the 4 gallon size over the 5 gallon size because it doesn't have that built in handle in the side. I'd guess it can hold 15-20 lbs of grain easy.

    Bar build - Thanks All

Wow. Just wow. Sorry to hear the old (hah!) bar had to go, as I actually really liked the look with all the exposed grain, but much better to have something that's built right, and the way you want it. I can't wait to see this build get finished. I am extremely jealous of your basement. Maybe...

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

I've done two batches with 60 minute mashes and hit my numbers dead on. Also, this is a beer that can definitely change character over time. My first batch started out very sweet and chocolatey, with just a hint of coffee and roast in the background. Over time, the chocolateliness and sweetness...

wilserbrewer BIAB Bags, Triple Play Value Combo

I didn't get to brew with my new bag until a couple weekends ago, but it was amazing once I did. It fit my converted keg mash tun/boil pot perfectly, kept all the grain out of my boil, was easy to lift, and super easy to clean. Two brews back-to-back and performed flawlessly! Definitely two...

    lets see your full Fermenters

I LOVE the Left Hand Milk Stout clone. I've brewed it twice in the past 8 months, and its by far the favorite homebrew among my friends. Even the ones who claim they don't like stouts will sit and drink 3 or 4 of these in a sitting...

    The stuff I made

Nice! Eventually I'd like to build an electric system so I don't have to mess with propane tanks anymore. Very nice looking brewing equipment :).
