    LHBS or On Line Retailer

I'm still pretty new. So far, I've only bought from the LHBS and I plan to always do the vast majority of my business there. -It's 10 minutes away. -The prices are right in line with the online retailers. -Most importantly, the owner is incredibly helpful. If any of the above wasn't true, I'm...

Look Out Craft Breweries - Here Comes BMC...

It's certainly what people are used to. I guess we're just now getting the point where there are new beer drinkers with fathers that had access to and drank good beer. For pretty much everybody up to this point, it's probably a near certainty that your father drank a BMC-style lager.

The Standard EPA, IPA, or Lager

I think you could include North Coast, New Belgium, and Anchor in this category. It makes perfect sense though. IPA's and APA's (more and more the former) drive the craft beer market. APA's appeal to a wide consumer base and IPA's are go the go-to as more and more people become hopheads...

Opening the bucket during primary fermentation?

I just brewed my 3rd batch ever, so I'm not very knowledgeable, but I personally wouldn't go to that trouble, replacement. It wouldn't really save you any time and I don't think it would cut down on the risk of contamination either. If you don't get a great seal on the hole/plug, you'd open...
