    I tried one of my beers today. It has been in the bottle for one week. I know it needs longer conditioning time, but I wanted to taste. It is supposed to be a Killians Red Clone. MAANNN is it bitter. I could only stomach a couple sips before I gave up, and fed the lawn with it. How bitter...

    How much yeast for 20,000 gallons?

    Just opened the pool and it was loaded with Algae, I think in part due to the warmer than usual temps in the begining of winter.... I looked in and thought add yeast and sugar.....Scary thought when you get addicted to this brewin' stuff. Everything I see now I wonder if I can turn it into wine

    I think what she is saying is use the whole yeast packet. The amount you use is not relavant as long as you use enough. If you are making less than 5 gallons, just use half a packet or close enough. hen it comes to yeast you are better off using too much than too little.

    OK I know all you experienced brewers are cringing at these questions.... ....So I decided to make the recipe and add 1.5 lbs of brown sugar during the boil. I have no idea what it will do, I just hope it makes it better.

    Thats the problem...I am not sure what might go well with the ingredients that came with the kit, but I would like to add something for flavor and a lil' kick in the ABV.... Light brown Sugar? Would that make it too sweet? Frozen Fruit? Anything I am up for any ideas

    This may be a dumb question....Do you think there may be something I have laying around the house that might be good and make fora unique beer?

    I am on a well. I am not sure if I should risk it. I do drink it though. I have a water purification system, and have some salt in my water...so I am not sure what effect it would have.

    You must have some good water. I have been told that wine is not as forgiving as beer.

    Everything you need should be in there, except the water. You will probably need 2-1/2 gal or so. Use bottled water not tap. You should come close to 30 bottles for a six gallon kit.

    Its put out by Muntons, but unfortunately all it says is"Carefully blended with choicest English hops" A case of I wish I knew more before I bought it

    Thanks....It is a kit and I bought it before I knew better....After listening to all of you, I figured it would be a bit flat, but wanted to make it since I had it. I figured there must be a way to kick it up

    I have the ingredients for an All Malt Amber, should I do it as is or should I add for better flavor? 1.5 lb Hopped Amber extract 2 lbs coopers light DME 1 oz cascade OG 1.042 FG 1.10 bittering units 13.0 Thanks....

    Oh yeaaaa...gimme...gimme:D I have one that I am going to do in the next couple days, and I was looking for some thoughts on that as well, but I will post that separate
