    7 Days in Primary and still no fermentation!! HELP

    I'm calling BS. My tech for a starter is this 1/4cup DME 2 Cups boiled H2O mix together. chill H2O DME mix to 70F pitch yeast cover w/ foil 2 days before brew hide in dark closet you'll have a starter. :rockin: :mug:

    Bottle question

    I don't bottle any more but when I did I was lucky enough to have a friend who love carta blanca and tecate in the 32oz bottle the guy saved a ton for me and I only needed 20 for a 5g batch,beats the hell out of 48 12oz bottles IMHO.

    It would help the over all BTU output. Think of an acetalyne torch, it won't cut w/ a yellow flame and the most concentrated heat of the flame is he bright blue point in the center.

    I think a good application would be for pasturizing with out boiling, like in a 1/4" tube on its way to keg.

    Scum

    I hope thats the case this time around. It was nasty, looked like snot strings from a herd of elephants I strained the wort through some mesh but still got some in the carboy.

    AHBS' Double Chocolate Stout

    My recent brew leads me to say when in doubt use a blow off tube. I have a 6.5 g carboy and the krausen almost hit the air lock in 5-6 hrs.
