Yep mine has been in Vancover since the 10th. Have you asked Nathan what is up? I suspect they are assembling a full truck of misc freight to cross the boarder with.

I used the motor offered by All American Ale Works. I like the direct coupling for safety. In test grinds I did have to start the motor before the grain going in the hopper. But it powered through everything that went in.

I forgot the grain mill, A monster mill MM3 with a direct drive motor installed a a cabinet on wheels. Left the gap to factory setting, which based on info from this thread should work fine. I am working on deciding what the first brew should be. Looking for a straight forward recipie...

Well I finally ordered the medium BIAC. The garage is set up with hoist, 24 inch SS commercial sink, ventilation system, and a GFI spa disconnect. I also have installed a cold water manifold that supplies my sink, a sediment to carbon block filter group, and a reverse osmosis deionized...

A lot if it goes to I simply like the system and Nathan has been great. I looked at the link provided, and I find the jacket a simpler consept than the immersion coils. As an engineer simpler tends to work out in the long run on things that cannot afford system maintenance.

Thought I would provide a status on where I am at in getting my 3 in 1. The hoist is in. The old 3 wire dryer wire has been replaced with 4 wire and a gfi spa disconnect. An 80 quart mixing bowl has been turned into a vent hood with a three speed hydroponics vent fan. The 24 by 24 inch SS sink...

Would this work as a grain mill motor?

I like the all American Ale Works motor, but I am not clear on the wiring to the switch. Can you post a wiring diagram for a non electrical person?

Wel, I am at the HBC in Sad Diego and Nathan is here, so I will be ordering the medium with one tweak, I am going to go with the Brew Boss DIY controller instead of the normal power box. The Brew Boss will automate the tempature contol process, and since they are here at the convention to I can...

How has everyone connected with regards to power? With the new digital power box, does anyone have a GFIC spa box or portable GFIC in the system? If so where do you have the GFIC, between the heating element and the power box, or between the power box and the wall plug (assuming a dryer plug...

On your exhaust system, the 30 qt bowel, what is the diameter of the bottom? I see that the top is 22 inches, same size as the medium 3 in 1. I like your set up and plan on doing something similar. I will use an angle ring bolted with high temp gasket caulk assembled to a duct system called...

I have read through some of the chiller manuals, and they call for using a glycol water mixture to also serve as a lubricant. Have there been any issues with regards to lubrication on water only use. I am planning on keeping the jacket clean so I would not run any glycol through it. I...

I read through the post on the damaged BIAC. I still like the concept and plan to purchase a medium, but will take a three step process to avoid a similar situation. I am not sure if root cause was over pressurizing the jacket, or pulling a vacuum during wort cooling, but here is what I plan...

Nathan is working on a chiller unit that will handle lagering if need by and hopes to have it for around $500. He is also getting ready to release an aeration option, no details on that yet. Has anyone gotten the neoprene jacket that he now has for the medium? Nathan is also working to be...

I have been following this discussion since December, and after lots of looking have decided on a Medium BIAC. I am still working out the fermentation temp control. Will the reef chiller support cold crashing, or do I have to plan for a small glycol unit? For those with a glycol unit, are...
