Went to the AHS and told them what my current situation is. Asked them how long I should keep burping them and they recommend just putting them in the fridge since it's over carbonated now. Gonna do this brew again but, follow directions MUCH MORE CAREFULLY. Lol
OK well I think for now I'm just going to leave them in the bottles instead of risking contamination. My plastic bottles feel really hard right now.
I bought 1 oz of each of the hops from this brew and only used half of them so I'm going to make this brew again real soon and follow the...
I Just burped every single bottle I used. Luckily I only used 10 bottle cap glasses, 12 pop top bottles, 8 plastic bottles and 2 two liter soda bottles. They are in the tub right now with a little bit of water like the guy at AHS suggested I do. It is possible that I can put it back in the...
Ah crap I think I did read it wrong. I thought I was suppose to ferment for 2 weeks THEN add the limeaid at the end and bottle it. **** I think I just messed up the whole brew.
I didn't ferment the limeaid. If I read it correctly, it said to add it at the end, no secondary fermentation.
EDIT: Doh, wrong link, this is the recipe I followed.

So I woke up this morning and got a text from my roommate. Apparently he suspected one of the bottles was leaking and didn't have time to clean it up. I investigated and turned out one of my bottles exploded from the bottom! The recipe I'm using is from the lemon lime hefeweizen that is found...
Don't know if this is the best place to ask this question but hell, I'm posting it here anyways.
Well we all know we hate having to clean up after brewing but right now I'm having the worst time trying to clean my fermentation bucket. I currently have a 7 gallon aqua tank that I use.
Reason...
Where is a good place to go to starting making my own recipes? I know my homebrew store offers classes but, I work 2 jobs and it's hard to manage my time off.
It tastes great! Unfortunately I'm at the end of time for fermenting and bottling. Have to get this bottled tonight in time for Flipside. I'm going to have to make the move to kegging sooner than later.
It has been 2 full weeks now since I made my Honey Hibiscus Wit and I was shooting for a ABV 8%. The original recipe comes out to 4.8%. I just checked my FG, did the math and it came out to 6%. Here is the ingredients
1 lb Flaked Oats
1 1/4 lb Belgian Pils Malt
1 lb White Wheat
155 for 45 min...

That recipe robbyhicks posted look AWESOME as well. This is going to be a great summer. :D
W00t another Austinite!
I have a Honey Hibiscus Wit that is standard 4.8% ABV but, I added more malt to make it around 8% ABV (I'll find out the FG is on Tuesday). You can always add the alcohol sugar boosters but adding more malt makes it stronger too.
