    BT Brews RIMS Build.

I started out with the idea of using burners to heat with when i was planning my setup. After some more looking, reading and talking to others i found that all electric was the way i wanted to go. I was going to use a RIMS setup with a burner to heat the BK an HLT. Since i already have mounted...

Yeh im not sure where ill order the switches, that was just to kind of give an idea of what i was talking about. What are your thoughts on needing to interlock the pump with the RIMS tube? Where do i find the Interlock switches if i am going to need to use them? I cant seem to find something...

    Control Panel Help.

Ahhh did not even think about the switches. I just assumed that they would work....guess thats what i get for assuming and not checking!! So i guess now since i want to use switches like this: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=300619324997&globalID=EBAY-US I would have to use...

    Control Panel Help.

Yes most of this makes sense... Looks like I will go with the first diagram with some small changes made to it. Here is what I would like to change. I would like to do away with the PID Power switch but keep the inline fuse for it. I would also like to add a master key selector switch so only...

    Control Panel Help.

I have settled on going with 50A available power and plan to run 4500W elements in the Boil and HLT kettles, plus a 2000W element in the RIMS tube and be powering one pump. Sorry P-J but i did cheap out the RIMS...JUST for now though. I have access to really cheap fittings and it cost me almost...

    Control Panel Help.

Well while browsing I came across this diagram http://www.pjmuth.org/beerstuff/images/Auberin-wiring1-a13-RIMS-SYL-2352-4500w.jpg and it looks kinda about what im shooting for. I dont want the Estop or the PID Power Switch. I have decided to just go with an Element in the HLT and use my burner...

Brew stand... giving it a go!

Well if you have a 9" grinder handy it will speed up material removal if you have alot of grinding but i wouldnt go out and get one just for this job. I used some 1/8" plate that i had laying around and just cut some gussets with a grinder and razor wheel. Seemed most of my heat was coming up...

Brew stand... giving it a go!

Looking good man. I used to run a 10" hand grinder all day sometimes so i know about the fun of grinding. I see you got some welders helpers in the pic(the big red magnets). Those are a big hep when fabbing stuff up. I used to use them every day at the plant. After this your going to want to...

Brew stand... giving it a go!

They dont weld the best but it will work, Just dont breathe the smoke. You can take a grinder and grind some of the coating off and that will help it weld better. I was going to weld mine right to my frame but was thinking if i do that and one breaks, it may be hard to match it up right. I got a...
