    My build

Cheers Roadie, I've got the concept of the HLT to get your water to temp then transferring it into MLT, I understand the mashing process but thought u just let it sit for in an insulated pot (MLT) and I understand the BK process, it's the recirculating from MLT to HLT, how do you do this and...

    My build

Hi Roadie Awesome setup, I'm goning for something similar but 3 x 100l pots and I'm gona tier them so no need for pumps. The guy who I'm vying the equipment off sells gas burners for the pots but I'd rather use electric, on your setup do you have the element under a false bottom to prevent it...

Funny after taste to all my homebrew

Tried a few bottles on Saturday with a couple of the lads, the taste has gone, they've been in the bottles now for about 7-8 month so they've obviously conditioned more, going AG at the minute so I'll see how that gets on

    Buying a micro brewery????

I see what everyone is say and I'm glad I've asked the questions and made my mind up on the 3 x 100l pot system, just hope it's not too big as it's for a hoppy and not business, as the options are 50, 70 and 100l setups, the price isn't much difference so that doesn't bother me, it's whether I...

Bits lying in the bottle neck

Had a few of my coopers Canadian blonde last night and they where cracking, they've been conditioning for about 7 months or more, the first batch I done was a coopers European lager but I fermented too high a temp, never read the instructions properly, so that still has a funny after taste, I'll...

    Buying a micro brewery????

Sorry....... No this is 3x 100lt pots and it's for a hobby, the love of beer and the dream of perfection, in the add it's called a micro brewery, the guy who is selling them obviously wants to sell the 3 pots and 2 burners so I didn't no if I'd still manage fine with 2 pots and 1 burner and just...

    plumbing an all grain setup

I've just posted a thread on buying a micro brewery, I wasn't sure if it's best to go for the 3 pots, in the pics I was lookin at they had the first pot up high on a stand then the MT under that the the BK under that so no need for a pump, I hav no experience in this maybe still need a pump to...

    Buying a micro brewery????

Hi all I'm thinking of buying a micro brewery, has anyone any thoughts on theses, do u really need the 3 pots? I was going to go for the 70l but it's only £30 difference for the 100l, I don't know whether to go for 1 mash tun and 1 pot with a burner, it does look cool with the 3 set up on a...

    Micro brewerys????

I all, been looking on the net and hav found a site that supplies micro brewery's. Been wanting to go AG and thing this is the way forward to achieve perfection. One thing that's putting me off is the gas burners, I would rather use electric but not sure if a 1500w hot plate will heat a 70lt...

Bits lying in the bottle neck

Thanks, I've done 2 batches of coopers and one porters ale, all 3 seem to have the same funny aftertaste, it's not really bad but just funny. I used tap water so maybe that has something to do with it, I sanitised over the top and my temp control was perfect to the instructions. I made an...
